Blueberry Summer Ale

OK so we recently brewed a blueberry flavored summer ale a short time ago. We just placed it in secondary fermentation (a first for us) so I'll keep you guys in the loop as to how it comes out. The arome is beatiful. Let's hope it tastes as good as it smells! Should be ready in another three weeks. I'll post the recipe soon.

Rick

Harold's Honey Brown

Starting to mellow out nicely. THe cinnamon is really poking through. It's a bit light but definitely refreshing.

Harold's Honey Brown tasted

OK so we finally tasted this beer over the weekend. We were pleasantyl suprised to see that it carbonated nicely. The beer is still a bit harsh in terms of hop flavor but that was expected. You can certainly smell the honey and cinnamon we added and I feel those flavors will start to poke through once the hops mellows out a bit. Overall we're quite happy with this batch!

Rick

Harold's Honey Brown racked and carbonating

Upon opening the fermentation bucket, there was a sweet honey, cinnamon aroma. The color was fantastic. My brewing partner (Mike Murphy) tasted the beer later on in the night and said it was a bit hoppy but we fell it should mellow out in anohter couple of weeks.

Rick
