PROBLEM RECORDING FROM POD UX2 TO COMPUTER

Hi,

From my personal experience, I have used Cubase, versions LE and SX3. To get my UX2 to work with those pieces of software I had to set the ASIO driver to "ASIO UX2", I did this in the device setup section of the Preferences/Options menu. At first the UX2 refused to appear in the list of ASIO drivers, but once I connected my UX2 and configured it using the "ASIO multimedia Setup", I found the UX2 ASIO in the list of available drivers. Then by selecting that from the list and applying that choice, I was able to record.

Whether that helps at all or not, its what I personally had to do. It may differ depending on what software you are using, but it could be very possible the Ideas are the same.

UX2 and Foot Controllers

I was just looking at the foot controllers available. When looking at the compatibility tables I found that there was no mention of the UX2. So I'd like to know whether this means none of the foot controllers are compatible? or was there just no data? or will I have to find an alternative...

Furthermore, I have read in places it is possible to "assign" "any footswitch" to POD Farm, now i have tried and tried but have had no success. Are there footswitches in particular? or is there something specific i need to do? I would love to see the process described to me rather than just being told to "Assign" stuff.

Error trying to return model packs

When trying to return the model pack bundle I purchased last night, I get the following error:

"Transaction Failed

Reason: (code 80003024) Server has nothing to do for this license key."

then some stuff about disabling virus scanners and pop-up blockers, which I tried.

I went through the full process a couple times, making sure I used the correct key and such.

I have a UX2 and POD Farm with all model packs. It works fine in Windows 7 64 with a 32 bit host(minihost) however, in SONAR 64 it has a strange problem where when you select a preset, some of the elements(such as amps or effects) are not enabled even though they indicate enabled and even if you disable and reenable(clicking the "power" button on the display for that amp or effect) the amp or effect don't work. I have tried this with bitbridge(native to SONAR) and Jbridge(another 32 to 64 bit vst wrapper). Any ideas?

2nd question: Is there a native 64 bit version of PODfarm coming? Thx.

How to connect acoustic guitar with built-in piezo pickup and preamp to TonePort UX2

Hi,

I experience a problematic performance of my piezo-acoustic guitar with built-in active preamp/eq when trcording through instrument input on my TonePort UX2. The sound is thin, full of harmonics and subtle resonances, and I can hear more of a staccato than a melodic string sound. I/ve tried everything: changing the preamp's battery, checking out cables, changing strings, picks etc - all of them with no effect. Yesterday by chance I came up with an idea to plug the guitar into line input at the back of my UX2 and the guitar finally started to perform as it should! The difference is huge.

And here comes a question: how should such a guitar be connected to UX2? Should I use front Instrument normal input, or stick to back Line input?

And maybe the Instrument Input is corrupted and makes also my electric guitar and bass sound unnatural? Is there any way to check it out in terms of sound quality (No, I don't have any other guitar interface to compare with)?

More info:

- I record through Gearbox with ALL the amps/mics/cabinets/effects off

- I keep levels securely under peaks, no possibility of distortion

- Recording is done with the same software and settings in both cases (instrument normal/line in)

- I/ve also checked my piezo-acoustic guitar through Instrument pad input, as it has lower sensitivity. The sound was slightly better than the one recorded through normal instrument input but worse than line input option

the pickup/preamp/eq built into my acoustic guitar is signed by Shadow, should work well at least.

So, to put it another way:

- how should I connect acoustic guitar with piezo pick-up and active preamp to UX2;

- how can I know if the UX2 Instrument input doesn't lower also the quality of my electric guitar and bass sound?

pod farm platinum activation

I've realized that i made a mistake:

I've bought on ebay the Pod Farm Platinum plug-in version

and not the stand-alone version that i wished.

I've contacted the ebay sellers where i bought it (onestly it is write in the product description but i missed) but they don't refound or change any softwere.

I've made this mistake becouse i've tried to upgrade Pod Farm Platinum from your site but when I lunched Monkey for purchase add once and I opened the page where you asked the hardwere type for purchase the softwere, I don't found Pod Farm Platinum for Ux2 studio but only for ilok.

Then i believed that the only way to have it was through ilok.

So i bought an ilok, the (wrong) Pod Farm Platinum plug-in......and you know the end of story.

Now i'm at this point: I wish and need to have the stand-alone version urgently but i don't know if this it's possible.

Could you help me?

Can you change it to me in the stand-alone version even removing the authorization for ilok, or showing if it's possible upgrade it at low cost possible?

UX1 Recording Acoustic

Thanks for the info. I plan on purchasing a new Acoustic and it has a Fishman Aero pickup, will that sound more traditional. I will probably get a mic as well, heard the Audix i5 is suppose to be a pretty good dynamic.. Any tips on settings in POD Farm or Gearbox when trying to record Acoustic?

UX2 Pod Farm

Hi,

I was wondering about installing Pod Farm 1.11.0 (L6TWXY Version 4.22.0) on 2 of my computers. If i do so, will they both allow me to authorize/use the same Studio UX2 on both of them if i activate it on both? Also, since I've already activated it/installed it on this one, but it won't run it garageband. When I open podfarm in garageband, it says no authorized device at the bottom. But the stand alone Podfarm says my Ux2 is connected. If it helps, I'm running a mac with OS X 10.4.11 on it.

using my toneport UX2 in Propellerhead Record

Hi guys,

i have recently downloaded the Propellerhead Record Demo

Everything works fine with my midi keyboard (Edirol PCR 300) but when I try to play guitar through my UX2, i get no sound out

I see an imput level but I do not here anything in my hadphones and nothing can be recorded

Checking the audio preference, the UX2 is correctly set as my audi device but when I check in details the input channel are geyed out and I cannot do anything about it

Anyine knows what's happening to me??
