Ok I just got the SVHD100....What the heck is the preamp in for? Please tell me if what I wrote below is correct.

Toneport UX2 not working with Mac running Snow Leopard...

So no matter what I do, I cannot get my UX2 to work on my Mac. I plug it in and the screen gets darker and an error message pops up that forces me to manually restart using the power button. I unstalled Gearbox, but it never prompted me to install the hardware. I installed the new drivers and all, but no matter what I do I have this problem. I have owned this for a few years, but this is my first attempt with using it on a Mac. If I can't get this to work, I am going to have to get rid of it. Can anyone help?

Overall, I liked that a lot!!!!! Did you mic a real drummer? If so, I think the drums sound unusually good for a non-pro studio recording. I like the intro rumble sound effect. Guitar tones are very good! One part in the middle, the song gave me goosebumps (this doesn't happen very often for me with music, rarely with even pro recordings). The intro kind of reminded me of Pink Floyd (this is a compliment). My only gripes: some of the guitar playing towards the beginning doesn't always have flawless timing. The singer sometimes sounds slightly pitchy. I am actually OK with having the vocals a bit in the background. Perhaps the vocals could have better clarity (but I know I constantly struggle with this issue with my own tunes). Other than that I was impressed with the audio quality. I was rocking out on this song! It's not easy to hold my attention on a song this long for me. I am happy for you that it turned out as well as it did. I can't guarantee how many people will comment on this song, but I would put it in at least one other forum. I didn't know this sub-forum existed until today. If you make any improvements to this recording, let me know!!

Problem with FBV Shortboard (Mk 1, Original Vetta Amp)

Hi: I went to use the tone library to update some new user sounds (first time I did this, connecting the Vetta through Midi to my computer) and, after downloading a couple of new sounds successfully, my FBV Shortboard now only reads "Line 6" when I power it up. All the lights blink, and then it reads "Line 6" but none of the foot switches work on the FBV Shortboard. Did I make a mistake using the Line 6 monkey somehow? Nothing else changed in my setup, the only difference was the download of new patches, so perhaps that's a clue. I tried recalibrating my FBV Shortboard but that made no difference...I also tried to replace the connecting cable between the amp and the FBV but that didn't help. Any ideas are much appreciated, thanks in advance!!

hi... i have already change my os into windows7 ultimate, and i think its now working well it already detects my ux8 for good

but another problem im encountering....when im playing my guitar and recording it to my reaper 3.13 it works well from the start

but, suddenly the sounds stops at about just a second then it comes back again. i dont know what to call to that term

but its not running smoothly.im using neutrik cables to my guitar and to my monitors. Any problems with my ux8?

this time, i never encountered it with my previous windows vista only in windows 7.
