I recently purchased a Spider Jam Amp. Is the FBV Express MkII the best pedal available for this?

The FBV Express MkII will work fine with your Spider Jam. The FBV Shortboard is the 'best' pedal as it allows you to access more custom tones from the footswitches than the Express pedal. The Express pedal can only access the four tones within a single User Bank. The Shortboard can access the four custom tones in all nine user banks. Apart from that, they are much the same.

Is the Spider Jam amp in the same family as the Spider IV line or is this a Spider III line?

Is there such thing as a Spider IV Jam amp?

No.

Also is the Shortboard (older version) compatible with the Spider Jam amp or only is the MKII unit?

Either will work perfectly.

recording guitar without band

You can record just the guitar by pressing Drums then arrow across to Recordings and off you go. No drums, no jamming, no band. Just guitar. Add some overdubs if you like then save the recording to your SD card.

lots of folks have had toruble with that. I was lucky and it worked right for me the first time.

Joes web site has info that might help you with that as well.

FWIW I used Kodak SD card and formatted it on a Win XP computer

Why won't the Spider Jam record drum tracks to my SD card?

If you are having trouble saving WAV files, it might be that you are not conforming to the eight dot three filenaming convention imposed by the FAT16 file system. Don't assume that the default name the Spider Jam provides is valid. Set the name for the WAV file to no more than eight characters A-Z, a-z, 0-9. The .WAV extension is not necessary as it is added automatically.

Playback of CD input louder than when recording

I'm pretty much convinced now that it is a stereo mixdown issue. Only if I record AND listen in stereo does the problem occur.

My simple solution was to not use the CD input. At home when I'm using headphones or the RCA outputs I just feed a mono signal from my mixer into the AUX input. When I'm jamming with other people and using the speaker then I'm free to do whatever I want

I have a Spider Jam with a FBV floorpedal.

I play acoustic but in a live situation i have to switch from a certain sound (Don't be casrck, Userbank A) to an other sound.

This time I use the looper, but than don't get the guitarsound I want. What is the most easiest way to change the sound in a second.

But than in an other song I use a drumpattern and later I need to loop my guitar but when I push play, the drums starts and the sound isn't

the one I want.

How can you change the sounds?

And how do I get the sounds, the looper and the drumpattern whenever I want it to.
