Backtrack Flashes Blue - but won't capture.

Hello,

did you delete ALL the files on the Backtrack? If so, there may be an internal error. Try a factory reset by manually pressing a small object (like a paper clip) into the small hole on the side of the Backtrack. The hole is located on the opposite side of all the UI controls (Backtrack) or on the side opposite the microphone (Backtrack + Mic). Hold the button down for three seconds and then remove the paperclip. The LED on the device will glow white, blink a few times, and then begin blinking blue. You have now successfully reset your Backtrack.

Please let us know if you need further assistance, or close out the ticket as “answered” if your situation has been resolved.

Backtrack for Harmonica player - will it work?

I expect so - the backtrack will record any signal it receives at the 1/4" input jack.I presume you're using some effects on the amp (other than simply volume) to affect tone? If not, you might be able to go directly from your akai to the BackTrack.

If using the amp you may have to fiddle with levels because the amp out is likely line level and the backtrack input is likely instrument level. If your amp has an instrument level output it might work better. Also you will need an adapter from your amp out to feed the BackTrack 1/4" input.
