I have the Line 6 Spider lll. When I first got it I use to plug my Ipod into the MP3 port and it would play with no problem. Recently the music I listen to with the Ipod will work just fine for about 10 to 15 songs then it will start cutting in and out about every 5 seconds of the song. I have gone as far as replacing the cable and even hooking up my daughter's Ipod with the same problem. Any help?

Make sure you have a dummy 1/4" plug or an instrument plugged into the 1/4" input jack. The mp3 input will only pass audio through when a physical connection is present at the 1/4" input jack as well... by design. For that reason, you may wish to use a 1/4" dummy plug (headphone adapter plug) if you just want to monitor mp3 input without an instrument connected.

If you have been doing this, then I would say to take your amp to the nearest Authorized Line 6 Service Center near you: http://line6.com/support/serviceCenters/

I bought my Spider III 75 watt a few months ago, and I use it both to play my ipod through and to hook my violin up to. I originally hooked my mp3 player into the line-in with an auxiliary cable, but recently nothing happens when I do so. I get no music, no hissing or buzzing - nothing. My ipod works with the same cable on other speakers, and I can use a plug converter and hook my ipod into the guitar input, but it is not stereo that way and now of course i can't play while my ipod is playing now either. Any suggestions?
