      <description>&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyStart:9130cbfe-0411-4ab1-ba6d-45a8862053d2] --&gt;&lt;div class='jive-rendered-content'&gt;&lt;p&gt;Bonjour à tous,&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Je débarque complètement sur ce forum et le sujet à peut-être déjà été abordé, si c'est le cas, je m'en excuse.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;J'ai un Guitar Port + RiffTracker (Riffworks) et un Pod Studio UX2&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Le problème est le suivant, j'aimerais utiliser Riff works (fonctions complètes nbrs de pistes, export des morceaux, etc..) avec le UX2 et profiter des sons et entrées micro de l'UX2.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Est-ce possible ? je n'arrivais pas à le faire dans ma précédente config il y avait 'confli' entre les deux apppareils.       <title>Riffworks Line 6</title>

First on an iMac G5, when I couldn't get that to start up I then downloaded it to my MacBook Pro. And the same thing occurs, it quits immediately, and the relaunch window comes up. I have downloaded and updated all support applications and drivers. The edit software is working and talking with the POD/XT Live properly as I have used the tone library online. All my license keys are listed and up to date according to the "Monkey". But I can not access the Expansion Packs that I purchased or open the Riffworks Program that I also purchased.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Please Advise, as I would love to be able to use these Items.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Thank You,&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Michael A.       <title>Problem with registration</title>

Sometimes it works OK and then the next time is tells me it is not registered. Recently I updated "monkey" and it is now taking away the drums (That I paid for!) and not allowing me to save work...I bougt this unit and software from guitar center a little more than a year ago and this problem has been off and on. I also downloaded and installed the free upgrade from Riffworks to Riffworks 2 on my desktop computer about 9 months ago and it registered and worked fine as well.   I recently installed the same Guitar Port on my laptop computer and it is working fine.  However, I do not have the original Riffworks version 1 cd software anymore, and when I try to just go straight to downloading and installing Riffworks 2, it will only run in demo mode.  I know that I have a free upgrade from Riffworks to Riffworks 2, but I can't get out of demo mode.  I tried typing in "refresh" in the purchase activation window per the FAQs, but that doesnt seem to fix anything.  Please advise on how I can get Riffworks running correctly, as I paid for the software.  Thank you.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:a9226bbc-43d5-4e67-afb3-8b404a312c3f] --&gt;</description>

The installation then continues, but Line 6 Edit is not usable until Java Runtime Environment is installed. I am connected to the Internet through DSL throughout installation. I have actually tried downloading Java from a different source manually and it downloads and installs fine, but Line 6 Edit doesn't recognize it. I kind of feel that whatever server the installation process is referencing for Java does not contain the file anymore, so the install cannot download it. Could you please look into it?&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;About 4 years ago I bought the original RiffWorks for $99.99. I've been using it quite heavily for a while and then I stopped using it because my computer started having difficulties handling the software and there were major latency issues. Anyway, I have upgraded to a different laptop that is running Vista. I went to the Line6 website to download RiffWorks again to use on the new computer, but I guess the original RiffWorks is not compatible with Vista and my only option then is RiffWorks 2, which I'm required to pay $129.99 for. I don't think it's fair. I've already paid $100 for a piece of software that I would have been perfectly happy using if that was an option. Is there some sort of an upgrade pricing? I would pay the $30 difference to upgrade to RiffWorks 2, but to think that what essentially is the same piece of software will end up costing me $220 is a bit ridiculous. For that money I easily buy a bundle of hardware audio interface and recording software. I don't want to pay for a pod because I already have an xtlive which I would run through. I came across Riffworks, which seems pretty simple, and was wondering how it worked. Mainly, do you need any kind of interface of plug-in? Or can I just connect via USB through my pedal? Also, it says it worls mainly around riffs and overdubbing. Can I record and save and than later mix longer tracks? But the Rifftraker that came along, won't be activated!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;It constantly runs in demo mode.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I read al mot of threads that treated a smilar problem and tried everything that had been suggested in those.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I typed in Line6 Monkey "refresh". Still no activation!!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I mad an update of all the drivers as well as the USB Firmware (2.7). No activation!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I downloaded 2 additional versions of Riffworks (1.10 and 2.2.2.3009), 2 of Monkey (1.15 and 1.27) and another of Gearbox (3.7).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This is the software that came along:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Riffworks V 1.00&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Gearbox V 2 Rev.D&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Guitarport V 2.5 CD Rev.K&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I registrated my Guitarport Rifftracker unit perfectly in Monkey. Theese are so laud, that the instant drummer or the Riffworks metronome (cow-bell) could'nt be heared. The clip is also visible at the ASIO CONTROL PANEL/Inputs &amp;amp; Recording - Tab. even without i press play or record.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;And there are  many  small more silent glitches, to the Speaker of my guitar Amp, even if nothing is activated but Riffwork was started?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I've already found this:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a class="jive-link-external-small" href="http://line6.com/community/docs/DOC-4282"&gt;http://line6.com/community/docs/DOC-4282&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I have disabled Wireless Lan, set Accu power status to highest Level, set Audio Setup / ASIO control Panel in Riffworks to Extra Lagre -  Buffer Size (USB Audio streaming), disabled HDMI Sound..&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;variing PODxt Monitor Level, ASIO Settings: default buffer size or bit depth,  does not change anything..&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Any Idea?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;thanks Metalmusic&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;PS:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I have a brandnew  HP Pavilion dv5-1112ea Notebook: 4 GB - RAM, 320 GB Harddisk,&lt;span class="anchor" id="line-31"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="line867"&gt;&lt;span class="anchor" id="line-30"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="line874"&gt;Processor:      AMD Turion X2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile, 2.2 Ghz – ZM82 with 2MB L2 Cache, &lt;span class="anchor" id="line-33"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="anchor" id="line-34"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="line867"&gt;&lt;span class="anchor" id="line-35"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="line874"&gt;running with ubuntu Linux 9.04 and only for Line6 i've bought  &amp;amp; installed a dual boot Vista (SP1) 32 bit to avoid driver problems etc..&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="line874" style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="line867"&gt;(On my Old  HP-Omnibook XT 1000; 1,2 Ghz, 256 MB Ram, 20 GB HD and USB 1.1, + WinXP  i never had this glitches. Last Week I purchased a Pod Studio GX which I love, the only problem is that Riffworks Line 6 Edition doesn't recognize the GX - only the GuitarPort. Should I reinstall?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I have Line 6 Driver 3.4.3.8 and RiffWorks 2 Line 6 Edition Version 2.22 installed on Windows Vista Business 64 (fully updated as of this writing). On the Line6 homepage Riffworks 2 Line 6 Edition lists Pod Studio GX as Supported with Driver 3.4.3.1 or later.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Is there somethign I'm missing?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I've attached screenshots of the website and my Monkey info.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Thanks for your feedback. I saw another user with the exact same problem whose question had gone unanswered.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I'm beginning to wonder if this extremely buggy product was worth $200.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;In reference to the above, Riffworks crashes once every time I open it up. Usually within the first five to ten minutes. I've begun to open it up, record a bunch of nonsense till it crashes, then start it up again. My pc is kind of old and slow (P4 2.0Ghz 1mb cache, 1Gb of ram) and I realize that may cause some problems. I am going to install the T4 vers of riffworks that came with my UX1 (free on the sonoma website) tonight as to check it out and what not. Before I got the UX1 (a few days ago and so glad that I did) I used to use guitar tracks pro 3 and plugged into my soundcard in my pc from an output on my amp and it was a terrible setup as most of you probably already know...latency, poor quality, etc. I liked GT 3 Pro though because it was easy and I didn't have to spend forever trying to figure it out, riffworks sounds like the same kind of deal. I'm leaning towards Riffworks and thinking that it would be best to go with the standard version as opposed to the line 6 version based on what I've read in some of the community threads. I registrated my GuitarPort and was ready to play with my new toy.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I started Riffworks and tried to activate it. As License Key I entred the same as for the GuitarPort.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;But that didn't work. I always appeared an error message saying that the code had not been entred in the right format.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I checked every single piece of paper that had been in the box, looked carefully on the covers of the CD-Roms, but I didn't find any other serial code for RiffWorks.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I even checked the plastics of the usb an the mini-jack cable. Nothing to be found.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I did some reseach on your site and found some similar topics. But that didn't help at all.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;On the top of the rifftracker box is written that my internet connection would only be required one single time to activate Riffworks as it's being installed.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I'm so confused. Is the RiffWorks' Licence-Key missing? Then I uninstalled everything, cleared the registry on my notebook and tried again with the older software that came along on the cd-roms. &amp;#13;

I could also upload a scan of the bill, to prove that my purchase is absolutely legal! Just in case of a doubt from your side.&amp;#13;

Amp connected thru the L mono output in POD x3 live.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I can see the bar on the screen lighting as i play the guitar but when i try recording it and playback, no sound coming out. Even after trying to transfer the original Riffworks first, I receive the message "ERROR, CAN NOT TRANSFER THIS ASSET: IT APPEARS THAT IT IS PART OF AN UPGRADE."  I'm frustrated because this is not part of the upgrade! It is the original Riffworks! I've tried transfering according to the directions several times and just can't get anywhere.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I'm thankful for any help you can give me. Every time I open it a window comes up stating that it's running in demo mode and I need a license key, even though I've already purchased it. I tryed entering refresh in the Line 6 Monkey Activate Purchase window several times with no luck. When I press the RIFFCAST button the same demo mode, purchase license key window comes up and when I click yes it sends me to the line 6 web site where the only obvious option is to buy the program again. I run into this problem every time I upgrade Riffworks and it is frustrating enough that it usually convinces me not to upgrade. I don't have my license key any more. I set up a line6 account them probably called rfrankie and old email address of &lt;/span&gt;&lt;a class="jive-link-email-small" href="mailto:Lsix@rockandceoil.co.uk"&gt;Lsix@rockandceoil.co.uk&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span&gt;.Played about with for a while and put it in the roofspace. However I have regained my interest in it. Anyway, I lost access to my old email address so I can't work out my login so I set up my new above. I have a Taylor acoustic-electric and when I plug it in, put my headphones on and play I can barely hear it at all. I hear it more just from the guitar itself rather than a sound in my headphones. Even if I crank the output volume way up, the sound is not good. Any help/advice on this issue would be appreciated.  Also, I'll add that my guitar does not have onboard volume/eq controls. They work just fine on my laptop, but when I try to install them on my desktop, it tells me that it can't detect Riffworks. I have Riffworks Line 6 Edition installed. I originally bought these drummers to use with a Guitar Port and am now using a Toneport UX1, but I've used these drummers with my Toneport already. The program is also freezing a lot specially  when I´m trying to use an Amp. I suppose it´s about to be updated but in the mean time I´m just going nuts, please let me know what to do. I did not know about the existence of RiffWorks T4, free edition, believe me, I would prefer to use that version for a while but so far I bought from Line6. I´m the proud owner of a 75wtts Spider III amp with an express foot controler and a Guitar Port from Gear Box Gold ed and POD Farm plugin, witch I´ve being using a lot on my other DAWs; I loved the concept behind Riffworks an so I bought it from you right away. Riffworks displays an error on startup indicating that "No Line 6 device was found. You will not be able to Save or Mix. You will not be able to Record, Save or Mix. Activation requires a GuitarPort or PODxt and an internet connection"&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I get a drop Selection box to select a device, but only Guitar Port and PodXT options are available. There is no selection for Tone Port listed.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I am using Tone Port UX2.  It is plugged in and on.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Does anyone know if Riffworks Line 6 Edition is fully functional with Tone Port UX2?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:2e503083-9e76-4fdf-a8df-22c0cbb75b28] --&gt;</description>

Recently I had to download Gearbox and re-Install Riffworks when I bought a new PC. Now when I load up riffworks after I activated it with my liscenc key it keeps saying at the beginning that it is running in demo mode.
