What amp cover is needed for Spider IV 15 ?. Also what carry bag is needed for my FBV Express ? Thanks!

FBV shortboard malfunction

Yesterday I used my new Spider IV 150 w/ MK II shortboard with the band for the first time. I moved it from home, plugged it in and hooked up the shortboard. The amp worked and the board lit up but the volume pedal was on full and would not shut off in the heel down position. I was able to switch pre -sets but still no volume pedal. I procceded to use the gear without the pedal and after a while it started to work. Then the wah wah quit working. With the wah turned on both the green volume and the red wah light were lit, but the wah wah didn't function. After playing for a while I tried it again and it worked! I've got it set up again at home and everything seem to be fine. What happened? I bought this rig to try and simplify my gear set up but so far it's been a real headache. I confess that I'm not a techie and I may have bungled something but it was working fine at home ,and it's not as complicated as my Pod X3 Live pedal, which works fine...so far.

Also the FBV calibration steps that come with the downloaded Advanced Guide for the Spider amp don't do anything. I followed the directions to "power off the board, press and hold the 'D' footswitch while powering on the board'. There's supposed to be an LCD readout :Calibrate Pedal" but there isn't any such display . So I don't know if this thing is even "Calibrated". It seems to work fine, when it's working. Is it actually necessary to calibrate it?

Switching Channels

I just upgraded my spider III HD 150 for the Spider IV HD150 and I'm setting it up for this weeks gig. When switching between channels with the foot switch there is a half second sound cut out. I don't recall this being an issue with the spider III. Is this expected behavior?

Spider IV backup - question or suggestion

I suspect the answer to this is "No", but is there a way to backup User settings from the Spider IV (via an FBV presumably)?

If not, can someone take that as a suggestion for enhancement.

Hopefully I'll never need it, but just in case.

Spider III 15W - transistor

My spider III 15W stopped working, at the repair shop they determined a transistor blew up and is now unrecognizable. Does anybody know where to get the circuit board blueprint??

Can I add a cabinet and connect it to my spider 4.

Chorus Flange problem on my Line 6 Spider III amp

My Chorus Flange dial on my Line 6 Spider III 15 watt amp, when turned all the way down to off, does not stop generating the effect. Is there a way I can fix this at home, or will this need servicing? I have already performed a factory reset.

Spider III 120

Hi,

I have some problmes with mi Spider III 120 amp. I turn the amp on and everything seems ok. After 10 or 15 minutes of playing it makes a sound and lowers its volume after that it makes a very loud squeling and can't play no more. If I unplugged mi guitar the squealing stops, but at soons as the cable touches the input pulg the squeling is back. It seems to be a short circuit problem or grounding issue. I unscrew the electronics and put the hardware unit apart form the speakers and the problem seems to stop.

Have you heard of something like that?... do you have any suggestions I can make myself before I pay some checkup?. The amp is a year and a half old, I'm the first owner and it has have ver light use. I like the amp a lot but right know I'm kind of dissapointed that I'm starting having problmes so soon with that little use.

I hope you can help me.

Quick Loop on FBV Express when NOT on User Presets

On the FBV Express, Quick Loop can be entered by pressing A+B simultaneously.

The problem I'm running into is that this makes the Spider not only go to the loop function but also drop into User Presets.

I tried pressing Quick Loop on the amp, but then I don't get a lit A/B/C/D pedal on the Express to start and stop the loop.

Am I doing something wrong?

Recording into computer

I recently came into ownership of a Line 6 Spider III amp and I need some help with recording. The amp has a Line Out Jack(also for headphones) and when I tried plugging that into my computer I could see that the Line In was receiving the signal but I can't hear anything. I run on Windows Vista and use Audition and Audacity for recording. Does anyone how I can hear my amp through my computer to record?

volume levels when switching presets - Spider IV 75

I've got a IV Spider 75 and very happy with it.

But I've got one gripe - and Line 6 are not the only manufacturer who haven't sussed this yet.

When I'm using a preset, and got it set to volume level for home use. I switch to another preset, and get blown out of the window .

Now I'd have thought it to be simple to use the same volume settings across all the presets for a session. Just reseting them to the defaults volumes when powered up again?

Since I don't wish to set them each time I switch preset. Equally do not wish the go through all presets changing them for home use, then back to gig level....etc etc.

A little intuition from the amp would be helpful, ie recognising the levels the unit is being played at.
