recording guitar without band

Hey, I am about to buy a spider jam. I just tried it the other day but wasn't able to record the guitar only on the SD card, without the "band". Is it possible?

Recording guitar alone is the function that interests me the most with this amp, I don't give a f*&k about jamming with the recorded songs... thanks for your help!

Playback of CD input louder than when recording

I use the CD input to feed the stereo output from a set of digital drums into the Spider Jam for recording rhythm loops on the fly. However the playback volume of the drums is significantly louder than it is during recording. Not a huge problem when the drums (or whatever I put into the CD input) are recorded first but if I'm overdubbing them then they overwhelm everything else once they start looping.

Plugging the drums into the AUX input works fine, but I want to use that for a bass track.

I suspect it may be because the CD input is stereo but playback is in mono. The mixdown from stereo to mono may be changing the volume.

Am I missing something or is it the stereo/mono mixdown causing the problem?

I have a Spider Jam with a FBV floorpedal.

I play acoustic but in a live situation i have to switch from a certain sound (Don't be casrck, Userbank A) to an other sound.

This time I use the looper, but than don't get the guitarsound I want. What is the most easiest way to change the sound in a second.

But than in an other song I use a drumpattern and later I need to loop my guitar but when I push play, the drums starts and the sound isn't

the one I want.

How can you change the sounds?

And how do I get the sounds, the looper and the drumpattern whenever I want it to.

The process described in the manual is not working. The last step "press down button" takes you back to the previous menu and does not delete the file

Spider Jam Resets When Using FBV Express Wah Pedal

I thought this problem was solved, but it's not. When I'm playing along to a recording, my Spider Jam resets randomly. When I say reset, it's like it was powered off and then back on for everything except the power. The music stops, the LCD goes through its startup process, and then the amp comes back to life, but any unsaved recordings are gone, and the settings are where they would be if I did do a power cycle.

This only has happened since I got my FBV Express pedal, and it only has happened when using the wah pedal. I tried playing for a while using the volume pedal the same way I use the wah, and it seemed fine with no resets. This has happened with three different CAT 5 cables, including the one from Line 6.

I plugged the amp directly into the wall, but it still resets. I've been working around the problem by switching off wah after a few minutes. Only seems to reset after about 5 minutes of continuous wah pedal use. Switching the wah off and then back on again seems to buy me another 5 minutes.

I have the latest Spider Jam firmware. The pedal is a couple of days out of the box, and if I can't fix it, it's going back to the dealer. Or maybe it's a problem with the amp. If anyone has some ideas, I'd love to hear them. Thanks.
