Assigning Tones to an imported song

How do I assign a tone to a song I've imported from a CD so that every time I open the gearbox file and load a particuler song, the tone I want is automatically assigned to it so I don't have to use the drop down menu in the tone locker every time?A

Guitar Port driver error

Hi,

Something is wrong here. When starting Gear Box the message "Ignoring connection to GuitarPort. This device has an incompatable driver installed".

Running GuitarPort as such works, but still displays message "Please upgrade to latest version of GearBox" (allready installed).

Monkey reports driver update from 2.0.0.0 to 3.4.3.8 but after running the update (GuitarPort USB disconnected and connected as required) things doesn't change. The result is the same as above, even the Monkey report even if I just updated.

What might be wrong here?

This is the installation chain:

In bottom my original GuitarPort installation from CD version 1.12

Then the installation of Monkey 1.31

Then upgrade GuitarPort to version 2.01.1

that when opened recommended installation of

GearBox 3.70

Anything wrong with this order?

Anyhow, it all ends with a GearBox that can play files from inline but doesnt include the GuitarPort input.

Not really what I'm after.

Can you please help?

Hi Miller thanks for getting back to me.

Here is some of the information you asked me for .

I an using driver 3.4.3.8 i think.

I am using windows xp pro

I use cubase sx3 as my recording daw.

My kb37 is connected to my pc via usb.

I use powered samson resolve a5 nearfield monitors.

not sure how to answer your question,,,,,HOW IS IT CONFIGURED?

if you need any more information i will be sure to send it straight back to you .

PS I AM REALLY EAGER TO GET THIS PROBLEM SORTED AS I TOOK A WEEK OFF WORK LAST WEEK TO SET UP MY NEW PC

AND RECORD ALL WEEK BUT YET AGAIN THE KB37 SCUPPERS MY PLANS.

i GET NO LEVELS ON THE DIALS WHEN I PLAY AUDIO I GET LEVELS WHEN I PLUG A GUITAR IN BUT NO SOUND.

iF I PLUG A GUITAR IN AND RECORD IN CUBASE IT WILL RECORD BUT I CANNOT ACCESS ANT EFFECTS.

No Output Sound w/ Gearbox using guitarport

Hi, I recently bought the guitarport after losing my beloved toneport ux-1.I am facing a couple of problems.I have everything set up as explained in the faq's.However, I can only get sound if I plug in earphones.And besides that the sound is inaudible unless I start, in vista 32 the computer system sound tab each time (Or launch Gearbox tab up at the help settings and sound control).So I do not know what to do.When I had the toneport no problems at all.All I did was download pod farm studio set up the drivers and I could hear sound out of my computer.With this I see its working by my levels moving and can hear only with headphones and It can record.No luck with my computer or external speaker. So help me please!!!Bottom Line is the guitarport incappable of playing sound back on a computer?

Why does gearbox want me to be deaf?

I have tried my Toneport UX2 on an HP laptop, my macbook pro (with leopard, now snow leopard, XP, now windows 7 - bootcamp) and my home desktop (quad core intel). Without fail i get extremely loud spikes of white noise/static every 15-30 seconds that are 3x or more louder than the guitar itself. No matter what computer, what OS, what version of gearbox/monkey i have i ALWAYS get this. Is there anything I can do to fix this so i can use this product? It's been mostly collecting dust over the years, this is my last chance to use it before i give up.

Appreciate any advice.

ux1 through external soundcard

hey i want to know if i can connect the ux1 through an external soundcard (like alesis io 26 for example) .... and record the sound i am getting from the ux1 through the external soundcard to the recording software am using.

No analog output from GuitarPort

My GuitarPort (controlled with GearBox) stopped passing audio out of the headphone and RCA analog output ports. Input works. I can see the input meters working. The guitar tuner works. I can also record successfully into SONAR. But no analog output. I have the GuitarPort knob cranked clockwise. GearBox's "Out To Hardware" is also cranked to the max. See attached file for my GearBox settings.

Gearbox Conflict

I have an Imac and I have just installed their Final Cut video program. It will not launch and the error message states that there is a plug-in conflict "Loading Audio Filters Line 6: Gearbox L6TWXG Plug-in".

I have Pod Farm as well, but that is not mentioned in the error message. Can anyone help me with this?

Gearbox works fine until I hit the "Play" button in the Gearbox Player.

Clicking noise from GuitarPort

Hello,

I'm running GuitarPort with GearBox on Windows 7 with the beta driver. Whenever I start GearBox there's a loud and fast clicking noise (a few hundred bpm) in the headphones connected over GuitarPort. Same problem when running in XP Mode with supported driver version 3.4.3.8. Any idea?

Transfering from stolen device? Please help

Hi all, i have big trouble here trying to transfer my gear box plugin from a pod xt that i had to my actual pod x3...

Following license transfer instructions as you may know its necessary to connect first the device were the license was installed and here is when it comes my problem, this device sadly enought was stolen from me so i have not any way to connect it now to transfer gear box plugin to my actual pod x3 device, is there any other way to do this? I know x3 has its pod farm but i liked that gear box plugin and since i bought it i would really love to be able to use it yet...

Can anybody help please?
