What is the Spider Valve HD100 really like? Currently I am using a Marshall TSL head into a 1960 cab. I am after an amp with a lot more gain and features. I used to have a Spider III 75 watt but thought it lacked a little punch. I live in New Zealand and our options are quite limited in terms of access to other brands (Diezel, Randall, etc). The type of sounds I would like to cover is quite narrow range - Slayer sound through to Pantera. Would the Spider Valve HD100 cut it?

Yes it would easily cover it but then so would the Spider III head the SVHD100 will just do it louder and with that added tube sound to it. I'm fairly certian you wont even have to do a 90hz bump via eq to get that Diezel type low end thump either.
