Drum Trax for Guitarist

Programming drums has always been (and still is) somewhat of an enigma for me. My hope is this group will help guitarist who are not proficient with getting those killer drum trax on their own without reinventing the wheel. So, how do you lay down your drum trax? Do you use a standalone drum machine, software, beat the skins yourself?? Share your tips, tricks, favorite chops…..
