Hi: I've recently bought a JM4 Looper. It comes with 2.0 firmware and I want to update to 2.09
I've carefully followed every step from update instructions, downloading the update from Line 6 downloads, formatting the SD card on JM4 and putting the downloaded archive into the SD card.................but when I finally insert the SD card on JM4 Looper, navigate to "firmware update" and press YES, this message apairs on screen: "can't open FAT16 file system".
What I'm doing wrong?
Thanks
Hello,
Have you tried a different SD card that is between 1-2 gigs of storage? Did you try a fresh download and a different computer to ensure the problem is not there?

Hi again: I've just solved it. The problem was the SD Card. It was new, "Transcend" trademark and 2 Gb. The JM4 didn't format this SD card correctly and didn't create the Line 6 folder. I've bought a new SD Card, "Sandisk" Trademark and it works perfectly. The JM4 has formatted it with no problem and after I've could put the "Fw".bin file into to update the JM4 to OS 2.09
Now, the JM4 works ok ¡¡¡¡¡¡
Thanks ¡¡¡![]()
