Pod X3 conectivity problem

heya,

yesterday i connected my POD x3 to my computer and i used it with gearbox. It worked fine. Then i closed gearbox and after a little while i wanted to star gearbox again. It got stuck at the splash screen at the message: "Initializing subscriber services". I ttried to close gearbox using ctrl+alt+del( i use windows XP) and it didn't work. Then i turned the POD off and it closed... so i left it like that. Today i wanted to use my pod with gearbox again but when i connected my POD to my computer it wasn't recognized anymore, my computer saw it as a Usb Device. So i uninstalled my drivers and gearbox and i connected the POD again, but still the same problem, the computer doesn't recognize it as "POD X3" it just sees it as "USB Device". What can i do? Please help

Did you reinstall your drivers again? If not, you should.

In your 2nd post you say, before taking it to the service centre you tried it on another computer. Did that other computer have the X3 driver installed? The computer at the service centre probably did have the driver installed, which may be why it recognized it.

Re: Pod X3 conectivity problem

When you plug the POD into your computer manually update the driver from your Device Manager. This will kick start the Windows Hardware Wizard which will finish your driver install for you.

Check out this doc for more info.

You might want to re-post this item again as a new question. This one is marked Answered so few people will visit it anymore.

Re: Pod X3 conectivity problem

I won't reply to yhe new post since I don't have any other suggestions at the moment - but I'm curious. You marked my earlier answer as 'correct' - where I suggested you reinstall the drivers. Did you do that? If so, you might want to add that info as a followup to your last post so that other readers don't suggest it again (I presume it didn't actually work).
