With regards to the removable wheels on the LD400 Pro, does anyone know where I can get braked one's for these?
The wheels are great but it's a shame Line 6 didn't think to make 2 of them lockable!
I was going to leave them on the combo (for the first time) at my gig on Saturaday however the stage was like a hard vinyl and I had visions of the cab rolling around the stage, so I ended up taking the wheels off anyway.
I preusume the removable wheels are a generic trade supply item so there must be wheels out there of the exact same size that have a brake device fitted?
Hi Teer,
As you say, many places supply pop-out casters, however so far I've not been able to find any that are "lockable", they are all free-moving.
Lots of places offer permanent (screw-fixed) casters but I didn't really want to swap them over to this type, especially as the LD400 already has the sockets fitted for the removable type.
Thanks,

Hi Teer,
These are no different than any other locking caster, mate. ![]()
The one's on the LD400 are similar to the Ernie Ball removable one's, i.e. there is a metal socket mounted into the bottom of the cabinet and the removable wheel fits into this on a metal pin. I'm looking for a lockable version of this really. The one's you refer to are just the normal casters which swivel on a screw-fixed plate.
It could be that no-one makes one like the one's I'm looking for, after all the locking 'foot' is attached to the swivel plate on normal casters, on these removable one's there's nothing to fix anything to other than the axle that the wheel fits to. It might be better just to use a couple of caster cushions like you use on a sofa for carpet protection?
Cheers,
Baker69
