Hey, I dunno about your amp mate , but Im using an MK11 spider (HD100 Bogner ) and a BBE " Boosta Grande " stomp box . I picked it up new for about 100 bucks and Its been in my rig for years now , a great little piece of kit . Absolutely beautiful boost , up to +20dB i think . Its got just one knob ,and if you use it  above 50%( 12 O'Clock) it does tend to odrive the preamp valves a little to hard and thus they break up ( sometimes nice though ) , so i just roll the guitar back a notch and all is good and clean . It might be worth a try !!!
