I'm so confused...

I have a Pod XT and I have line 6 monkey and it keeps giving me this message saying "Important: Your hardware has not yet been activated to allow all the features you purchased.  Close this message and then click the Activate Features button in Monkey's Optional Add-ons tab to complete activation."

And so I do that and it tries to connect to the line 6 server and then says programming hardware and then when i restart the pod xt it says "Warning: the transaction verification failed."

I want to use Pod Farm and everything but it won't recognize my Pod XT because of this problem. It's like it won't install it or whatever. What should I do???

Re: I'm so confused...

If you haven't done so, I recommend completely uninstalling all Line 6 software from your computer, then re-downloading and installing the latest Monkey software from our website.

Please make sure to disconnect all other USB devices from the computer (except for a mouse and keyboard) while troubleshooting this issue. Completely remove ANY USB hubs, even if not in use and test the PODxt on all of the USB ports on your computer.

Try activating the features again on every port.

Regards,

Re: I'm so confused...

  Hello,

Something is preventing communication to our server from your computer. So what Hugo mentioned earlier makes sense.

What are the detailed specs of your computer? Do you have any other USB devices connected? If so, what are they?

Do you have any pop up blockers or antivirus software running?

Can you post a screenshot of the error message you are getting? Thanks.

Something is preventing connection to our servers to authorize your model packs. Have you tried switching USB ports? I know that on our Macbook here that sometimes works. The MBP we have here won't even power our MBox on the left port. Mac USB ports can be really flaky sometimes.

Re: I'm so confused...

Hello,

I can tell you based on my experience with our G5 PPC here that the front ports on that thing are super flaky. Our front USB ports don't even power up our MBox. I almost always have to use the back ports.

Also, I know this sounds stupid, but have you rebooted your computer lately. I have to ask so don't be insulted.

Hrm. This is very strange. Have you been able to do any other updates in Line 6 Monkey? I mean like driver updates etc? Have you tried reinstalling your drivers?

You absolutely have nothing else plugged into this machine?

What ISP do you have?

What Monkey version are you using? Have you tried reinstalling it?

Re: I'm so confused...

That looks like a break down in USB connectivity between the computer and your device. Let's try a thorough uninstall. Unplug your Line 6 device, go to HD>Applications>Line 6>Drivers and remove your device drivers. After that, drag the entire Line6 folder to the trash.

Once you have done that, download the latest version of Gearbox, plug in your device, and then install it.

One thing that has worked for me in the past was to leave the device plugged in even after the installer program has told me to unplug it so you may want to try that.

I'd also suggest installing the device on a different USB port as well.
