Hi all hope you can help. Everything was working fine on my computer now everytime I plug in my Podxt it stops my sound running through my soundcard. If I unplug it and reboot my system it all works fine again. I have an external usb soundcard Edirol UA 25EX. My speekers are working fine, I have tested them through the audio imput. What I have noticed is that if i go into Control Panel/Sound under speaker properties/controller information it has my Podxt. I am useing Vista and I've used monkey to update. I want to be able to use both pieces of hardware but don't want to have to keep pluging unpluging and rebooting all the time.![]()
Please be aware that Windows machines do not allow more than one sound card at a time, so you will need to "choose" which sound card you are going to use if two different interfaces are connected. See the following links for more information on setting the Line 6 device as the soundcard:

The point I'm trying to make is I don't want my podxt for my sound card, because it does not produce any sound throught my speekers. Secondly I bought the sound card I wanted and it switches it off, making my system unusable(I cant afford to chuck money down the drain). This did not happen with my previous system. I want to use my sound card as a sound card and my guitar effects hardware for guitar effects.
You should be able to select your Edirol hardware as the default playback device in the Sound control panel of your computer with both pieces of hardware connected. Are you unable to make the Edirol the default playback device in the Sound options?

I was not able to select my Edirol, but to be honest I've not plugged in my podxt recently. I downloaded a demo of podfarm and have been trying that out. I am expecting to upgrade to pod x3 soon, hopefully that will be fine.
Hello,
In the Windows Control Panel you should be able to disable the PODxt as your sound card and enable your Edirol device. Right click in the audio pane and see if you can view disabled audio cards. If your Edirol shows up as disabled, enable it. At that point the PODxt should disable automatically.
Please let me know if this answers your question. Thanks.

I am able to select Podxt or my Edirol by going through control panel/sound. I had my Edirol working and plugged in my Podxt and then went into control panel/sound. The icons show Podxt is disabled and Edirol is working, I then right click on Edirol and click on Test and get a message "Failed to play test tone". I then put in a CD and it failed to play a help message guided me to this support page
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/webhelp/default.aspx?&mpver=11.0.6001.7007&id=C00D11B1&contextid=87&originalid=8889000A. I then unplugged my Podxt and then unplugged and replugged in my Edirol and the CD played and the Test played in control panel/sound.
All drivers are up to date the Podxt through monkey the Edirol is still on the original 1.0.0.
Hello,
This sounds like it could be a conflict on your Vista system or with the Edirol hardware. See the following links for troubleshooting options:

Try setting up the same configuration on a different system if you are still having problems to see if the problem is your system or your configuration.
