Re: I'm so confused...

I am having the same problem.

Please make sure to disconnect all other USB devices from the computer
(except for a mouse and keyboard) while troubleshooting this issue.
Completely remove ANY USB hubs, even if not in use and test the PODxt
on all of the USB ports on your computer.

I have done this

What are the detailed specs of your computer? Do you have any other USB devices connected? If so, what are they?

Windows Vista Home Premium, SP 1, Hewlett Packard, HP G60 Notebook, Intel Pentium Dual CPU T3200 @ 2.00 GHz, 3.00GB RAM,  32 bit OS

No other USB devices connected

,

Do you have any pop up blockers or antivirus software running?

No. Using Firefox and turned off the block pop ups option. I also tried using Internet Explorer with pop up blocker turned off.

Can you post a screenshot of the error message you are getting?

problem.jpg

Have you tried switching USB ports

I have tried all 3 USB ports.

have you rebooted your computer lately

Yes, first time it happened.

Have you tried reinstalling your drivers?

Yes

You absolutely have nothing else plugged into this machine?

Nothing else

What ISP do you have?

79.97.81.49            -  UPC Ireland

What Monkey version are you using? Have you tried reinstalling it?

V1.31   Yes I have reinstalled it.

Let's try a thorough uninstall. Unplug your Line 6 device, go to
HD>Applications>Line 6>Drivers and remove your device drivers.
After that, drag the entire Line6 folder to the trash.

I have done this. Uninstalled all line 6 drivers and trash binned the folder.

Once you have done that, download the latest version of Gearbox, plug in your device, and then install it.

I have done this

One
thing that has worked for me in the past was to leave the device
plugged in even after the installer program has told me to unplug it so
you may want to try that.

What do you mean by this? just press the cancel button when prompted? Please elaborate.

I also get a caution (yellow triangle with exclamation mark) sign next to USB firmware on the updates page. It says the installed version is 1.06 and the newest is 1.12. When I update I am told Pod XT update successful but when i return to the programme it is the same as before (Yellow triangle, version 1.06)

At this point the only thing I can really suggest is to try it on another computer just to make sure the device itself is not faulty. I don't think it is but it's worth a check just to be thorough.

I still think that you guys have something on your computers that are preventing a solid connection with our servers through Monkey. The hard part is finding out what it is.

Re: I'm so confused...

I have the exact same problem.POD XT as well.

When I disable the virus scanner it doesn't make any difference.

What else could there possibly be?

If anyone has any solution please post it, this is a very frustrating experience.
