X3 Live

Hello!

I have a Line6 HD147, and I want to ask that, if im using a Line6 X3 Live as channel switcher thru Midi, can I use the X3 Lives other features?

For example : I make a sound with the X3 live to channel 1, then I make a sound with the HD147 to channel 2.

Thanks for helping!

RE: X3 Live

Hello,

Despite teh fact that the POD will send MIDI it was never intended to be used as a MIDI controller so you'll most likely run into issues when trying to control the HD147. I do not believe that what you intend to do will work.

  I apologize for the inconvenience.

  Has this answer been helpful?

RE: X3 Live

Hello,

The X3L is not a Midi controller (such as the Voodoo Lab Ground Control) but it will send MIDI messages through the MIDI output.  if you want to use the effects and amp models on the X3L you will want to run in the  "FX loop return" on the HD147 (be sure to put a dummy plug into the HD147 input jack to the speaker output is active).

Please let us know if you need further assistance, or close out the ticket as “answered” if your situation has been resolved.
