The power supply for my 2.0 is crocked. I know this cus I took the unit into a shop in Derry and he took the power supply out of another POD on sale and plugged my unit in which worked perfectly. The shop has no power supply units in stock for sale on their own. Of course they can order them in but because we're not a major metropolitan area it could be weeks before the shop needs to place an order for stock with Line 6.
Every music shop between here and Galway I've visited and no one stocks Line 6. This fruitless drive around the country has peeved me right off.
Someone please sell me a UK (240/9V/1200w) Line 6 AC Power Supply or I'm gonna have to emmigrate. I'll buy it on line right now if you can point me in the right direction.
No use - I'm looking for a UK and Ireland unit which has a 3 pin plug for 240v
Just cut the plug off and put on a three pin. It's a European adapter.
Even better get :

right plug plus it's cheaper.
Just ordered one of these - cheapest so far at £15.50 including postage. They normally go for about £19 (inc poatage) on Ebay!
I just tried to purchase this and they wanna stiff me with a £25 delivery charge to Ireland - the piece only costs £12.50!
It would be more cost effective to get a return fare on Easyjet and collect it.
Thats for tracking it down for me though.
I live in hope.
Michael. I don't know how good you are at DIY, but if you're handy with tools, you could try this:
Cut around the seam of the power supply box with a very sharp knife or a Dremmel with a rotating cutter or similar. Unwind some of the tape and you will come to a little electronic component that I believe is an over-temperature fuse, which has probably blown. Remove the component with a soldering iron and rejoin the wires and it should work OK afterwards. As far as I can see, there are no other electronic components in it to fail. It's only an ac transformer ( two coils of wire). For safety, you might want to drill some holes in the case to let any excess heat out. Unfortunately, it's difficult to rejoin the two halves of the case together afterwards. I just put some tape around mine. I hear of a lot of failures on this forum and experienced one myself. It wouldn't surprise me if this is caused by the power supply box being covered up by anything that's lying around during operation so that the heat can't get out; then it goes over temperature and the little fuse blows.
Dear D8veh,
Sounds straight forward enough and I'm gonna give it a go. Will let you know how I get on.
People think U2 no longer live in Ireland for tax purposes, but I bet for the Edge it cus he can't get replacement power suppplies for his effects pedels!
Hello,
