Flextone II floorboard malfunction

I have a Flextone II set up. In the last year I've gone thru 2 floorboards. They keep getting stuck in "Edit Mode" and the tone changes !!!

The amp works fine when the floorboard is unplugged.  Now, less than 18 months after buying the second one, it's doing the exact same thing. Is there a switch that wears out faster than others and needs to be replaced? Could it be the Amp and not the floor board? How can I test it? We have settings and special tones that we can't afford to loose. What do I do?

Hello,

   The problem could be in three places:

 

  1) the Floorboard

  2) the CAT 5 cable

  3) the CAT 5 jack on the amp.

 

  Try your floorboard on a different Line 6 amp with a different cable to see if this changes anything.  If so, narrow down the variables unit you find the problem unit and get it repaired.  See the following link for more information:
