If I record a guitar track and later wish to add a wah (or another effect where the user controls the effect) how do I capture the wah pedal information onto the recording?
Thanks for your assistance.
Yours Sincerely
Mark Abbott
I'm a little surprised that no one knows anything about this topic and that Line 6 employees haven't chimed with their input. Surely someone must know something?
Hmmm. I have never tried this. You could play your track and record the track at the same time. Depends on if your DAW will let you do that. If not. This trick will work on any DAW. Play the track you want wah on. Run a cable out of your headphone jack in to the instrument input and use the wah. Arm a track for recording and there ya go.
I have to studio speakers running out of my analog outs. So the way I go this is. I run out of the headphonejack in to a Presonus tube pre. Out of that in to the input of the toneport. Make sense?
