  • Biography: My first instrument was a guitar. I started playing in 3rd grade but I had to give it up because of an accident that severed 3 tendons and a nerve in my left wrist. I didn’t have enough hand strength so I switched to drums because I could hold a stick and keep a rhythm. I played drums for about 8 years in local rock and metal bands until I found myself in a trio where nobody sang. I took over the vocal duties and a friend sat in on the drums. I never could sing but I could scream enough to straighten your pubic hair so I did that for about 7 years and I also wrote a crap-load of terrible lyrics and started learning my way around digital gear and programming. I was in a few bands (Black Lash, Morbid Son, The Bridge) with a decent local following and we mixed the old school thrash and metal with originals. Those were great times but I couldn’t hold a group together and I was tired of playing "dad" so I dropped out of the music scene and went to college at night and studied liberal and fine arts. I went into serious withdrawal for a long time. (Isolation...) I did a lot of art therapy. Then, in 1999, I got into computers and discovered music software. The fire lit right up again because I had been missing music for a long time and off I went. It was kinda cool at first because I won a remix contest and had a few songs picked up by Raw42 Publishing. That was encouraging but I found myself growing tired of samples and loops, especially guitar loops, and decided to try my hand at guitar again. That’s where I’m at today and this my music story....so far. Right now I’m a guitar student...I'll always consider myself a student. Lately, I've started working with other players again and trying to figure out a way to bring everything I do to a live situation.
  • Expertise: Guitars, bass, vox, textures, beats, obsessing, recording, art, words, fixating, programming, samples, and edits. Experience would have been a better heading. (Not that I'm any good at any of those.) It's all in fun. It keeps me out of trouble...
