Chorus effect a bit loud?

Hi

I was wondering if it's just me - but it seems like the analog chorus really boosts the signal when it is engaged

I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this?

 

I have tried messing with the mix - but that doesn' really effect the level of the effect

Product Manager for M13 here. Yes, if you mix is around 50% you get a volume boost. We are looking into fixing that in our late summerish firmware release.

 

What happened is guys used to complain that the MM4's chorus would drop in volume. Most guys use it with the mix at 100%. We brought the overall chorus volume up and made it so you didn't loose volume when the mix was all the way up and now there is a boost at 50%. So we have to redo what is called the mix table for that effect.

 

Keep an eye on this forum for the announcement of the new release. Lots of other fun stuff in there as well.

sweet - thanks for getting back to me

I can work around it - it sounds really nice

 

one thing - if your taking suggestions...heh

 

two of my fave pedals - are the octron and the sparkle drive

both of which have a clean signal mixed with either an octavia effect or a screamer effect

I was wondering if it would be possible to do something like that with some of the fuzz/dist effects?

kind of like the dry thru on some of the other effects you have?

 

just curious

 

I love the m13 - it's such a nice piece of equipment - so well thought out

I appreciate the fact that you all talk to users too!!

Probably not on M13. Maybe in a future model pack.

 

But I have been thinking on a future more feature rich M13 I would love to have a parallel path possibility. We will see.

I was wondering if it would be hard to fully exploit the stereo capabilities?

like if you pushed the FX knob and it pulled up panning options or something like that?
