xxx on prozac DREAD ISLE OF DREAD Brit J-800 Metal Shred 145
TomaszM another high gain head. this one similar to my xxx head 'cept this has a little more girth in the mid lows. On my xxx i ran integrated quads (el346l6) and a low gain 12dw7 in the pre-stage, cuz the gain was just insane. This is pretty close to that tone. peavey triple xxx "crunch" chnl 1/17/07 humbucker

Mike's MoFoNo Mark Knofler Money for Nothing Dire Straits Solo 100 Rock 75
TomaszM This one uses a Soldano head rather than the JCM800 in the factory patch. I used lace sensor golds. Wish the wah wasn't quite so strong ... 1/17/07 single coil

PODxt Live

charger soldano charger Solo 100 Rock 103
TomaszM Multipurpose. Thick rhythm tone. Hit the stomp for a juicier lead. Hit the comp for 2dB of boost to cut through. Throw on the delay for more solo joy. Mod is a slow phaser. For less bass, turn down the bass, or switch to the 4x12 Green 25 cab. 1/17/07 humbucker

Believer Dann Huff Im A Believer Giant Solo 100 Metal Shred 194
TomaszM The Great Guitar Intro played by Dann Huff at The Song "Im A Believer" Im pretty sure that he used a Soldano Amp on this Tune with a Stratstyle Guitar. Play it Loud!!! 1/17/07

Brian May's creamy vox lead Brian May Any really... Queen Class A-30 TB Rock 88
TomaszM I've been toying around with his tone for along time, but have found that it is almost unobtainable without a boost. If you have an overdrive give the amp a slight gain boost and this tone will cut through and sing. I didn't really bother to edit the effects other than to just point the user of this tone in the right direction. Brian May's tone is actually quite a bit more like single coil tone when in a live setting, but for the sake of dl'ers I did this with a humbucker to avoid the hassle of having to use an outboard eq to take out the initial thunder of a single coil. Brian also used very little verb so take it easy on that setting as well. For the brighton rock solo use tap temp to set up the delay and adjust the knob to taste, but for the record it was a ping pong delay, that being triplets in stereo. The 4x12 helps account for the amount of amplifiers he runs on stage. However, we're still short 8 speakers, as he runs 6 vox ac-30's at live venues. 1/17/07 humbucker

Model Packs increase the number of Amp or FX Models of a GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt, PODxt Live or PODxt Pro, for a wider variety of tone possibilities. When a particular tone in the library relies on a Model available in one of these packs, you'll see symbol(s) to indicate which Packs: MS (Metal Shop), CC (Classics Collection), FX (FX Junkie), and PP (Power Pack).

The models within the FX Junkie Model Pack are already included in PODxt Live, and offered for purchase to add-on to GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt and PODxt Pro.

Variax is the uniquely flexibile guitar from Line 6. Our Vetta II amplifier includes a digital connection for the Variax that lets you store settings for both your amp and your guitar in the Vetta II so that when you call up a Vetta Channel Memory your amp and guitar can change sounds together. Vetta II Tones marked with this guitar symbol include this Variax data.

For each tone in the library, you'll see an icon for either a single coil or humbucker pickup. This tells you whether the tone is best for use with a single coil pickup or a humbucker, so you can select the appropriate pickup on your guitar when using this tone.

Attention POD 2.0, Flextone and HD147 owners... Your hardware doesn't do Stomp effects, so you'll hear something different than what was intended. Try increasing the Drive or choose a higher gain Amp Model to get the right sound. The other aspects of the sound should translate as expected, so you'll at least get a great starting place for tweaking.
