PF Breathe Slide David Gilmour Breathe PinkFloyd Blackface Double Nrm Rock 1256
drschultz In this tone, I am using the blackface, with the spring reverb, phaser, tape echo, chamber reverb, and the weaper wah. I am using a les paul with both pickups on. The wah and phaser really makes the tone. Two reverbs also give it "space". The key is to have a second expression pedal so you can do volume swells smoothly. I use a hand slide versus a bottle slide. I hold the guitar in my lap, I find I have more control that way. 8/18/11

DG SOS David Gilmour Shine on you crazy diamond - Meltdown SOS Pink Floyd Hiway 100 Rock Blues 680
drschultz This is my take on created David Gilmour’s Sound on Sound as heard on the Meltdown concert. This patch was created using my Strat not an acoustic. I set the pickups to Neck/Middle. The signal is split, path A is the lead, path B is the backing sound. The lead is pretty straight forward with a HiWatt, phaser, and echo. The backing goes to a tube comp, and rotary. The comp I use to control the volume. Note: The volume pedal only goes from 0 to 17% this makes it easier to control the max volume. Adjust this if the backing is to low or too loud. How to use: Set your expression pedal to zero (heal). Then switch to patch. Strike a chord (Gm) let it ring a split second then move the pedal all the way to the toe position then back. The timing on the movement is everything. Too fast and it will wobble too much. If you do not bring the pedal back to heal then any notes played will build on the chord already struck. Switches FS2 – Delay – Lead Path FS3 – Phaser – Lead Path FS4 – Reverb – Both Paths If you plan to strum some chords then turn the delay off. Thanks to AndyHolt. I used his HD500 patch and built on it. Good luck! 12/29/12

No Alibis EC Eric Clapton No Alibis Eric Clapton Brit J-800 Blues 516
drschultz This is a tone for the lead, I am using the J-800 with a mild gain and no bass. The Q-Filter is used as a "parked" wah. I have added a phaser to fill out the tone. There is a slight echo, only one repeat, and a little verb to round everything out. I am using a les paul neck pick up. I don't feel its 100%. I am missing something maybe a EQ somewhere. If you know please send me a msg. Enjoy! 11/11/11

Model Packs increase the number of Amp or FX Models of a GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt, PODxt Live or PODxt Pro, for a wider variety of tone possibilities. When a particular tone in the library relies on a Model available in one of these packs, you'll see symbol(s) to indicate which Packs: MS (Metal Shop), CC (Classics Collection), FX (FX Junkie), and PP (Power Pack).

The models within the FX Junkie Model Pack are already included in PODxt Live, and offered for purchase to add-on to GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt and PODxt Pro.

Variax is the uniquely flexibile guitar from Line 6. Our Vetta II amplifier includes a digital connection for the Variax that lets you store settings for both your amp and your guitar in the Vetta II so that when you call up a Vetta Channel Memory your amp and guitar can change sounds together. Vetta II Tones marked with this guitar symbol include this Variax data.

For each tone in the library, you'll see an icon for either a single coil or humbucker pickup. This tells you whether the tone is best for use with a single coil pickup or a humbucker, so you can select the appropriate pickup on your guitar when using this tone.

Attention POD 2.0, Flextone and HD147 owners... Your hardware doesn't do Stomp effects, so you'll hear something different than what was intended. Try increasing the Drive or choose a higher gain Amp Model to get the right sound. The other aspects of the sound should translate as expected, so you'll at least get a great starting place for tweaking.
