|skitly||My brother used two AC50 heads in stereo parked on Marshall 1960 cabs playing in a touring midwest band from 82-87... he says he heard the late 60's AC50's referred to as "the best smallbox Marshall that ever was" and his rig was the perfect complement to the JCM800s his friends used... I remember hearing the cool, tight harmonics my bro would get... we built this preset together, bro says it gets very close to the sound he had...||6/25/11|

I have had this amp since 1981, wonderful creamy soft touch for guitar, can get gritty for bass, but focused, gentle, and punchy too... built this preset based on my jazz combo rig for guitar, click off the effects and use it for bass, seems to sound very close for both... the 15 inch JBL was a bit hard to model, used the 12 inch deluxe speaker, relied on the graphic equalizer to bring it in close...||6/25/11|

|skitly||Based on my 1976 Silverface Fender Vibrolux Reverb (Vibrato Channel) with two 10 inch ceramic magnet Oxford (Fender) Speakers. I've had this since I bought it new in '76 (high school days!). To get this sound I had to use an equalizer to drift off some of the mud from the 59 Tweed 10 cab model... This tests very close to the real thing... to make it sound pushed, add tube drive... included is reverb and trem... add your own effects and get a 70's vibe working for you!||6/24/11|

|skitly||Growing up playing guitar in the 70's, I coveted my cousin's 71 post-plexi 100 watt Marshall Super Lead... had that snarly, trebly stadium max-crunch... not pure and creamy like 60's plexis... but made famous for our generation by bands like Foghat... visited with my cousin and he pulled his old amp out, had my HD500, we built an approximation which you see here, very close, especially with a Gibson Humbucker guitar or Variax setting...||6/24/11|

|skitly||1977 Fender Super Twin Reverb, a model of my Amp and rig during the late 70's --- I still have this stuff, and I am impressed that these digital equivalents are right on the mark... included is a Phasor, Flanger, Overdrive, spring reverb, Analog Delay, Noise gate... the Super Reverb has a built in graphic equalizer... I used this rig to pay for college... covering Kansas to Journey to Styx...||6/24/11|

Model Packs increase the number of Amp or FX Models of a GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt, PODxt Live or PODxt Pro, for a wider variety of tone possibilities. When a particular tone in the library relies on a Model available in one of these packs, you'll see symbol(s) to indicate which Packs: MS (Metal Shop), CC (Classics Collection), FX (FX Junkie), and PP (Power Pack).
The models within the FX Junkie Model Pack are already included in PODxt Live, and offered for purchase to add-on to GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt and PODxt Pro.
Variax is the uniquely flexibile guitar from Line 6. Our Vetta II amplifier includes a digital connection for the Variax that lets you store settings for both your amp and your guitar in the Vetta II so that when you call up a Vetta Channel Memory your amp and guitar can change sounds together. Vetta II Tones marked with this guitar symbol include this Variax data.
For each tone in the library, you'll see an icon for either a single coil or humbucker pickup. This tells you whether the tone is best for use with a single coil pickup or a humbucker, so you can select the appropriate pickup on your guitar when using this tone.
Attention POD 2.0, Flextone and HD147 owners... Your hardware doesn't do Stomp effects, so you'll hear something different than what was intended. Try increasing the Drive or choose a higher gain Amp Model to get the right sound. The other aspects of the sound should translate as expected, so you'll at least get a great starting place for tweaking.
