|thewhites||This tone was written using the JTV Variax into the HD500 in studio direct mode into the Line 6 L3t speaker in monitor mode. Strat position 5 will automatically pull up when you select patch. Back off your guitar volume knob to around 70% until the solo. For the solo pull volume all the way up on guitar and click fs1 to turn on screamer.||7/13/12|

|thewhites||To make this sound right I have added a Univibe. Use the Volume pedal to slowly swell each note in and mixed with the light delay it gives a very close Marshalesque haunting sound like the record. I am using a JB humbucker pickup in the bridge position for this one. Also lay off a bit on the volume knob and let the Overdrive do the dirty work. I am using a JB humbucker running the Pod HD500 in stereo using the XLR jacks and running into a pair of QSC K-12 speakers.||12/29/10|

||Winter Franken||Edgar Winter||Frankenstein||Edgar Winter||Classic Rock||273|
|thewhites||Best if used with a humbucker. This is the crazy keyboard sound at the end of the keyboard solo. To make this work best you must use a purple or green pick, or maybe even a red pick with white dots. Use the edge of the pick and beat down hard on the strings and play in time with the delay. If you hit straight down you get the tight hard sounds, barely slide the pick along the strings while doing the same thing above and youll get that crazy pitchy sound. also the lower strings with give you the higher pitch in this keyboard sound probable because of the harmonics it produces. Have fun. This sound comes with rave reviews from my hard to please fiancee who hates it when I practice. I had her listen to it and she asked if that was it for the night and when I said yes she said "sounds great". Please rate this sound for me. I spend quite a bit of time doing this so I would like to know what you all think.||12/4/12|
||Hot 4 Teach||Eddie Van Halen||Hot For Teacher||Van Halen||'69 Brit Plexi Lead 200, '58 Fn Tweed B-Man||Rock||137|
|thewhites||Near exact Hot 4 Teacher solo tone. Just enough reverb, slap back delay, Marshall ran slightly dirty w Overdrive pedal. Sounds great with a JB or Evolution pickup.||3/20/08|
Model Packs increase the number of Amp or FX Models of a GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt, PODxt Live or PODxt Pro, for a wider variety of tone possibilities. When a particular tone in the library relies on a Model available in one of these packs, you'll see symbol(s) to indicate which Packs: MS (Metal Shop), CC (Classics Collection), FX (FX Junkie), and PP (Power Pack).
The models within the FX Junkie Model Pack are already included in PODxt Live, and offered for purchase to add-on to GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt and PODxt Pro.
Variax is the uniquely flexibile guitar from Line 6. Our Vetta II amplifier includes a digital connection for the Variax that lets you store settings for both your amp and your guitar in the Vetta II so that when you call up a Vetta Channel Memory your amp and guitar can change sounds together. Vetta II Tones marked with this guitar symbol include this Variax data.
For each tone in the library, you'll see an icon for either a single coil or humbucker pickup. This tells you whether the tone is best for use with a single coil pickup or a humbucker, so you can select the appropriate pickup on your guitar when using this tone.
Attention POD 2.0, Flextone and HD147 owners... Your hardware doesn't do Stomp effects, so you'll hear something different than what was intended. Try increasing the Drive or choose a higher gain Amp Model to get the right sound. The other aspects of the sound should translate as expected, so you'll at least get a great starting place for tweaking.
