LINE 6 GRANTED 2006 EDITOR’S CHOICE AWARD FROM ELECTRONIC MUSICIAN MAGAZINE
Agoura Hills, CA—January 20, 2006—Line 6 inc., the inventors of patented digital modeling technology for amplifiers, effects, and instruments, have been conferred a 2006 Editor’s Choice award by Electronic Musician magazine for the PODxt Live. Editors of the respected monthly cited the “excellent modeling capabilities and sleek, practical design” of PODxt Live as deciding factors in bestowing the distinction in the “Effects Processor (hardware)” category to Line 6.
Award winners were announced in the January 2006 issue of Electronic Musician and will be formally awarded at Winter NAMM. The awards are given annually by the publication’s editors, along with a select group of technical authors, to the best new products of the previous 12 months in a variety of categories.
“From the beginning, our goal was to deliver a streamlined, self-contained unit focused on live performance - which offers all of the features that make PODxt and PODxt Pro so universally loved as studio fixtures,” says Line 6 Product Line Manager Mark McCrite on the news of the EM award. “We’re extremely pleased to see this acknowledged by Electronic Musician, and to be in the company of so many other great products.”
