This release provides compatibility with Intel-based Macintoshes. All functional aspects of the application are consistent with v3.00, so there's no need to update from that version if you're on a PPC Mac.

Line 6 Edit version 3.0 is recommended for the following Line 6 devices:

- USB or MIDI connection with a supported Line 6 device
- Java Runtime Environment software – JRE is included within OS X.
- Internet connection for tone submission to, and download from, the Custom Tone online library
