UX1 Noobie.

Just got this bad boy and was wondering if :

A) I can use my Line6 AX2(212) amp or my old Marshall MG Series 30DFX as the output source instead of headphones.

B) Can I store any tones i create on the UX1 in my User Channels on my Line6 amp mentioned above.

On another note, does anyone use Mixcraft or Live Lite 7 to create songs on their PC with the UX1 as the interface? Either one of these better, easier to use??

I tried Line6Miller's settings last night and either his band rehearses in a very large room or they are an accoustic band. I had it facing away and the bass caused heavy clipping. The sound did sound louder when playing back but lots of clipping. I'm going to try Medium next time and see how that goes.

I was hoping for some recommended software Names ie. ProTools,etc. I've seen a bunch of different ones in my search online but would like to get some opinions on which one might be the best. I'm not a computer wizard so something that is user friendly.

Anyone else out there been using the Backtrack + Mic to record their bands??? 100 plus views and 1 response......

After reading a bunch of different posts about sound quality, I tend to agree that the recorded music comes out much much quieter when played back on my computer. I'm sure Miller's recommendations will improve my results but if anyone else has opinions..fire away. I'm not looking for album quality recording obviously but would like to get the full potential out of this little box!

Optimal Settings for Rehearsal Room Recording & Software ?'s

I have a Backtrack + Mic and am looking for the optimal settings for it during a band rehearsal. I've seen some good posts but want some other opinions. Mine is currently set as such:

Sample Rate: 32000Hz(what the fffff does that even mean, but is this okay?)

Bit Depth: 16 bit( see above, no clue about this stuff....)

Presets: on custom values( is this fine?)

Auto Capture: Loud (makes sense and seems to work fine...)

Gain: 4( good?)

AGC: off (what the fffff)

I am also looking for editing software. I'd like to cut out some intros to marked songs as it's just band chatter and tuning,etc. What else can you do with these WAV files after a "song" has been recorded? Can you soop it up or add outside instruments?! Again, any help here would be greatly appreciated.
