How to keep Line 6 HD 500 to stop sending Midi.

I run HD500 with Digital Performer to change my programs for live performance. I also have a keyboard attached to the midi out/thru. The problem I am having is that the HD500 is sending program changes to the keyboard. I have the HD 500 on channel 2 and the keyboard on channel 1, so it should effect it. Is there a way to only have the HD 500 send midi thru info on only channel 1?

Thanks, I see now why sometimes it works. Its in with something else. What do you use for a clean boost?

I am assigning the volume to a foot switch. I turn it down to about 75% for rhythm which cuts the volume when the volume switch is on and then toggle off for solo volume which gives me 100%. The problem i am having is I want the red led to be off when the volume is on, so its consistent with other solo settings i have. I got it to work on one patch by others I cant seem to get it to work, It is on when the volume is off. Hope this makes sense. Any thoughts on how to reverse?

Should I change patches or change effects?

I am setting my hd500 up to use with a cover band with lots of different sounds. I have the unit set up to change 4 presets and 4 effects within that preset with the 8 foot switches. I have been setting up 2 patches so I can go from clean to distortion or to add volume for lead. Theres a glitch in the sound when I swich presets. Is there a way to avoid this? Do most of you use this method or do you use one sound and change effects within that sound?

Another question? Whats the best way to program volume boost for my sounds. I dont really like using the volume pedal. I have tried using different effects to boost but it doesnt give me enough volume without totally changing the sound.

Best way to connect HD500-Tech 21 & PA

I just purchased Tech 21 60 (No Pre Amp) to use to monitor my HD 500. I want to go to the PA as well. I am running mono to both. The Tech 21 has XLR and 1/4 inputs as well as XLR thru.

Should I come out of the HD with XLR Left into Tech 21 and then to PA from XLR Tech 21?
Should I come out of the HD with XLR Left into Tech 21 and to PA from HD XLR Right?
Should I use the 1/4?
Should I use a combination of XLR and 1/4
Should I set my mixer in the HD to Center position and Ch A & B?
Last, should the the HD be set to Amp or Line.

There's lots of options, so I wanted to see if anyone is using the Tech 21 like I'm trying to do? Any help would be appreciated.

Best Amp for 80's Style Chorus Delay with HD 500.

I'm researching for an amp around $500 that I can get the 80's style chorus delay sound. I've tried the Fender Blue III and it seems a little dirty for that sound. I also need it to have good distortion for half the set. Also my plan is to split the signal to the PA and the Amp. Any suggestions?

How to make save patches sent to HD 300 from the edit.

When I download patches from my edit software to the HD300, the patches are gone when I restart HD300. How do I permately save them in the machine? I use the send to function in the edit software to send the bundle to the 300.
