Sound skips a beat when I change the preset

Hello!

My Pod HD is connected to my guitar, my head-set and to my computer that runs Cubase. Whenever I switch the preset between A, B, C and D my headset mutes for a millicond so that it kind of skips a beat from the background tracks coming from Cubase. The same is true for my guitar-sound but that doesn't matter since I don't change the presets while I play a tone with the guitar. Is there a way that the sound coming from Cubase doesn't stumble/skip when I change the preset? (When I record with Cubase the recorded track is OK - so it's only the head-set output that is affected.)

Is there a way to change the patches of my Pod HD via Cubase? So that the patches change while I record myself playing the guitar? I saw I guy doing this on YouTube - but he didn't use the Pod HD.
