Yes. I'm seeing the reduced prices on other sites now. I didn't see them anywhere yesterday. American Musical was saying the $200 was a mailin rebate but that's not how I read it. Glad I didn't order with them.

So you only get $200 off a JTV is you already own a Pod HD 500 or DT-25 amp? The resellers are supposed to know if we already bought one of these?

I saw at AmericanMusical.com there is $200 instant rebate on the JTV guitars. However, American Musical seems to think it's a mail in rebate. When I look at the promo at line 6 ( http://line6.com/account/promos/dreamrig ). It sounds like it should be an instant rebate. But none of the authorized seller seem to know about. Since Line 6 no longer seems to have a customer support center I thought I'd see if anyone here knew anything about it.

G String Not working. Been out 4 times to 2 authorized service centers.

I have a Variax 600 and vetta ii combo amp. I love the sound and versatility of this set up and have been using it for a few years. Allthough there doesn't to be anyone who knows how to work on a variax guitar. The G string will not work for about a 1/2 hour to an hour. Then it works fine. It's been out for repair 4 times to 2 authorized service centers. It's been out for a total of 11 weeks. All four times I brought it home and it failed immediately. I'm now $200 into this and have nothing done. They checked all the connections, replaced the saddle on the g string and replaced the main board. At least that's what they tell me they've done.

I'm not sure where go from here. There doesn't seem to be a point to bringing it back to the same place. Line 6 won't take the guitar in for repair. If I can find way to fix it cheap I'll do that and sell it off. But it's looking like I'll have to sell it as is and cut my losses.

It didn't work for 2 days after coming back from the last service center. I left the guitar powered on for an hour and G String started working again. It's acted this way for a couple of months now. I used it through band practice for 3 hours. Worked the whole time. Now 2 days later when I power it up its still working. I'll contact Line 6 about a service call. But I'm cautious about sending it out while it's still working. I have the feeling they'll say they tested it and couldn't find a problem.

I have a Variax 600 and the G String is not working. I have reflashed the software and it didn't fix it. I brought it 2 authorized service centers and they failed to fix it. The checked the connections and replace saddle for the G String. I guess they don't plug in the guitar to make sure there fixes worked. I'm 7 weeks into this problem and no closer to fixing it. Any ideas? Where do I go from here?

If I leave it plugged in long enough the g string will start working. Other than that it's a useless POS that I can't sell.

Good news that you got it going. I got my replacement piezo in this morning. Find out soon if I'm back in business soon.

I think I'll switch to graphtech pickups instead of waiting for this happen again.

The solder was retouched with no result. I was thinking of going with the graphtech but no one seems to be able to say that replacing the pickup will fix this problem. I don't want to go through the expense of installing the graphtec saddles and still have the same problem.

I'm having the same problem with my Variax 600 on the G String. Checked all the connections and they are fine. Won't work for the first 10 minutes and then it will work for hours without any problem. I'm getting a replacement saddle. I'll let you know what happens.
