HD 400 Line 6

Hi Line 6

When I transfer tones and save them on the Edit page on my computer then to my HD400, USB There are only (4) new tone spaces? How do I make room for as many as I want. Also I want to retain the factory tones and edit them and save in a new tone space. Which I would need even more empty spaces.

So what you are saying is do the above drag and drop into the edit, then you must go to the save new tones on the HD 400 and save them individually??? There are 128 custom tones, can they all be saved on the HD 400 at the same time???

Could you do me a favor and place your information in a step by step format? Thank You

One question is, when download a tone from Line 6 Custom tones do you drag them into the edit box at that point

and when you are doing your steps are you connected to your computer during all steps with USB?

I have all the HD 400 Custom tones on my hard drive now, but I am trying to figure out the steps to load them into the HD400 from your good information.

Yes I had all of that, but my problem was that I had downloaded a older driver for my Uno audio M I specified everything correctly but it gave an older version?, when I had my friend help my from guitar center, it all worked. Still it would be good if line 6 improved the system to end all the emails going back and forth. Thanks again for your help!

If I can fully walk through your answers it will be most helpful, my problem is that some of the items that you list like seeing midi ox, yes i see it etc but the the process is lost to me because i don't fully know what I am looking at? Because I am familiar with ubs but not at all midi and transfers etc, I have the right cord m audio placed in and out correctly I see the the files they download into the midi ox i have the section one punched in at start up which waiting command for flash up date, I have never updated anything and I was starting and the first update.. then i tried them all nothing worked, now that i am trying when writing, even the words flash update arent on only the blue screens my cords are in correctly, i do have a cam tec that i should disable as you say it could cause a problem reading anything, I sincerely wish that 6 six would have made this easier I would have paid more to make it friendly to users that want to make music and not sit around for hour trying to figure things out. I will work on your ideas as long as my patiences holds out

Problems downloading and understanding new down loads M13

I have never updated my M13 I tried to do last night for about three hours and got very ****** and myself because it seemed so diffcult. I followed your format, but I must have missed a impotant step? Started with the oldest download and everything seemed to go on my ox dropdown for windows. Puched the select 1 Bought the coorect cable Please Help thanks Noel

1. Connect your MIDI interface to your computer via USB cable.

2. Connect the M13 MIDI Out to your MIDI interface In, and connect the M13 MIDI In to your MIDI interface Out.

3. Power on the M13 while pressing and holding down the 'Model Select' knob in FX UNIT 1 to put the M13 into FLASH UPDATE MODE.

4. Make sure your computer is set up to 'see' the MIDI interface (on Mac, you must configure Audio MIDI Setup -- on Win, see ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS For Windows Users above).

5. Download the latest M13 Firmware from the Line 6 website (log in with your Line 6 User Name).

6. Launch your sysex app and select your MIDI interface Out port (for Sysex Librarian, use the top dropdown menu -- for MIDI Ox, select Options/MIDI Devices).

7. Load the M13 sysex file (in Sysex Librarian, select 'Add to Library' from the File menu; In MIDI Ox, select Actions/Send/SysEx File from the File Menu; then navigate to the M13 sysex file you downloaded from the Line 6 website).

8. Press Play (Sysex Librarian) or if using MIDI-OX the file will be automatically transmitted once it is selected in the previous step.

9. The M13 will receive the sysex data and the unit will be updated to the latest Firmware. It sometimes takes 30 seconds to 1 minute to appear like the unit is receiving the update and takes about 8-10 minutes to complete. The M13 will re-initialize when the update is complete and the screens will light up with the new factory presets.

Thanks Hugo flash memory on the M13 ?? I have never done this at all ???i think i need to call you because i don't change anything by pressing down on the model selects I turn them??? I have done what your system tells me by turning # 4 to factory reset and you say press down... which doesn't do anything???? I only press down on the floor pads??? they work...??? not sure what you mean?? If its a bad unit, I will just replace it with guitar center but I want to make sure first. Thanks Noel

Hi As I said before i did all of this but is still does not change? must be defective or stuck? I press down once waiting??? nothing happens I press two times nothing happens??? Noel
