I can't even start a new discussion. When I click to submit, it wipes out everything I typed and then gives me an error because the post is empty.

I found a fix. I uninstalled all versions of Java on my PC and then installed the latest 1.6.0.

When I try to launch Variax Workbench I get this error:

"This application requires a 32-bit Java Runtime Environment 1.6.0"

Then it sends me to the Java website to download it. I've downloaded it and installed it twice. The Variax Workbench installer installed it too. I also downloaded and installed the 64-bit version (I'm running Windows 7 64-bit).

I've tried rebooting and reinstalling Variax Workbench but I just keep getting this error.

Has anyone else found a solution to this problem?

I have the Tuning knob in Model mode, push the button down for a few seconds but I don't get a flashing light like they do in the training video.

In the instructions it doesn't say to have the tuning knob in Model mode. It won't work if it's set there. Try setting it to one of the tunings other than Standard or Model. Then press the model knob down for a few seconds.

Here's a link to the Variax 700 manual, which includes guidlines for neck adjustmnet. I would expect it to be the same for the JTV.

Hipshot tuners for Korean JTV-69?

Does anyone know if it's possible to buy the Hipshot tuners that are used on the American JTV-69 so they can be retrofit on the Korean one?

What are you running the HD500 through? Increasing the channel volume may also be increasing the amount that you're overdriving the input of whatever you're using to amplify it.

I'd like to see the cotroller assignment reworked. If I open up an patch and want to know what a pedal is controlling, I have to check every parameter on every model in the patch to see which ones are controlled by the pedal. Also, if I assign a pedal to a parameter, tweak it and then try moving the pedal to check the result, all the selections get cleared. So when I want to re-tweak it I have to select the model and select the parameter again. This really slows things down.

I don't know how easy this will be to implement. First you need to modify HD Edit to provide the ability to load the file. There no other way to get it to the POD. Then you need to have a place in RAM in the POD that you can load it into. This may have to come at the expense of something else. The more IR files you want to load, the more RAM you'll be robbing from something else. With the firmware modified to allow you to select one of your loaded IR files and read it you would then be able to use it. Depending on the size of the IR you could end up using more CPU which could reduce the number of blocks available in your chain.
