As I bothered to point out, I did check my facts and do not claim anything was not done as advertised. But I own pods since pod 1, 2, xt, x3 and now hd, and this is the first time they went backwards feature-wise. I can live with this, and certainly prefer quality over a myriad featuers, but tell me: how do you achieve comfortably something like reamping for HD models? We've been doing this for a decade. I think pod farm doesn't have HD models. I don't expect the HD to do something it wasn't advertised to do, I am however expecting line6 to provide a very complete offering for their top-of-the-line models, which so far they don't. It's not a complaint, just an observation: I know many people who record a lot more than they perform live, and they kept their (discontinued) X3 over getting a new HD for precisely this reason.

The X3 remains the most endowed product for recording, and that's unsettling. Of course I checked my facts before getting my unit and as I only use it live I can live with it, but still it's strange that they wouldn't provide an effective X3 upgrade on some of the fronts.

Line6 needs to develop mobile applications for POD HD

As a matter of fact, in my band, 3/4 of the members use tablets for their music notes during the gig. It would be nice if one could access some basic functionalities of the pod via the tablet. I am not talking about fancy stuff: I don't need to edit (though an editor would be nice) or activate/deactivate effects via the tablet.

What I, and I guess many other people, could do with is a version of "monkey" to perform emergency reflash or updates on the go, as well as a patch librarian software to restore patches, move them about, rearrange them for the night, etc. I have no use for a laptop or netbook, whereas I'm always likely to have my mobile devices with me most of the times -- most tablet feature host-mode USB connection.

I know this is feature request material and it will be submitted as such, but I'm posting this here in case someone else feels the same and might feel encouraged to submit a feature request him/herself.

They do have however the somewhat "funny" habit of coming up with unexpected, huge surprise bonuses more than they've usually simply "settled" for dealing with what (judging from the forum talks) people seem to be asking more about. No doubt there are exceptions, but

things like the "dots" on the X3, or some global parameters seemed to be easier to manage than what they actually delivered. In any case, all updates came free, so there's very little one can complain about!
