So, If i`ve understood, I`ve to buy a guitar/ipad interface (irig, mobilein, apogee jam). After that I plug the guitar into the hd500 and the hd500 into the interface which is connected to the ipad. Is that right?

My question is now. If I use garageband, can I use the hd500 amp sims (or I can only use the garageband amp sims?)

Hello!

I'm considering to buy in iPad. However I've read on the web that it's not possible to connect a pod hd500 to the iPad.

Considering that, would it be possible to record with the iPad by connecting the pod with midi cables?

@alfmetal. I always use the pod amp simulations. So no real amp. As you said,maybe I should reset the HD.

@DeanDinosaur. I had the same though, but since this problem occurred, I always pay attention to send to the machine all the changements I do in the editor.

Hello,

With some patches I`ve noticed this problem: when I select the patch via the editor I have a certain tone which is different from the one I get when I go to the same patch via the footswitch (higher/lowe volume, higher/lower gain, etc.)

It seems like some parameters/effects change even if the layout of the effect chain remains the same.

Have you ever experienced somethink like that?

Pod HD500 and vox amplug

Hello!

I`m rather new with the Pod HD and I`ve a doubt on how to connect a vox amplug (or any other external unit)

Should I connect the amplug to the L/MONO FX RETURN and then use the pod FX LOOP in the signal chain? Is also the right return ok?

Hello!

I`m trying to make some home record with my pod hd 500 and audacity.

I plug the pod via usb to my laptop and then I select it as input device in audacity. If I want to only record the guitar, that works fine.

Now, If I want ho hear a backing track at the same time, I plug a double jack from the laptop output to the pod cd/mp3 input. However, if I begin to record with the backing track playing, audacity only records my guitar (and no backing). I`ve tried to change in the control panel my audio settings, but nothing apparently changed.

Do you have any tips on how to solve this problem?

Hi and thanks for your reply,

This noise is a very loud whistle coming out from the headphones and that cannot be interrupted by decreasing the master volume but only by deconnecting the power cable. When this happens, the pod stops working properly and get stuck.

The problem doesn`t happen everytime I load a preset, but only occasionally.

I`ve already updated the firmware to the version 1.40 and I`ve downloaded all the presets from line6`s custom tone.

I think it is a sort of problem generated by the "communication" between the hd edit and the pod via the usb cable.

Hello,

Since 3 days I have a pod HD500. Playing with my new toy, I`ve met this problem:

when changing between presets in the HD edit, or when loading user-made presets with the USB cable plugged in, occasionally a very very loud whistle came out from the pod. To stop that the only way is to switch off the pod by unpluggin the power supply.

Did anyone else have the same problem?
