oops, only a few pics at a time can be uploaded, well, there's the 2 piece box version...

i also forgot to mention on the curved back design, i had put in (the dwg) small lower side hinged panels that could be opened to allow sound to come out in case yer drummer can't hear....;>)

It was a thought...

In the final product i made ('ill take a pic after the paint dries...), i made the rectangular hole the amp leans against bigger near the bottom as the amp doesn't have wheels on it anymore.

once the paint dries, i'm going to put some sticky sided foam around the rectangular hole to make an air/sound barrier between the amp and the hole and also put some rubbery-ish material on the surfacve the amp sits on to reduce vibration - some of that rubbery stuff/padding for the kitchen to put dishes on.

Also, ignore that funny angleds wooden contraption on the floor in the video, it was an experiment to see if a 'ported' bottom front would help the sound.

It fits right into the front port on the box but only really muffled it too much. Oh well.... I just wish i didn't eventually glue & nail the damn thing in as it was a b***ch to remove later on!

EDITED:

added pics of painted unit.

because the back wood of the enhancer was only 1/2" (all of it is actually, if you make yer own, use 5/8" or thicker!), i added another piece to stiffen it up.

You can see the top vent holes and the rear upper hole for the power cord. I also added some pieces of clear plexiglass to the inside but won't know if it makes a difference in sound reflection until the next time i jam with Richard (the other older guy in the video) at the Hooksett NH Legion. I'll hit walmart later on this week to get some 1" wide single sticky sided thick foam tape to put around the 'sound hole' the amp leans against. I think i'll use a piece of scrap carpet on the panel the amp sits on rather than the kitchen dish material i mentioned earlier.

And the velcro section on the back is for a barrier strip...

ah, good! The post posted!!!

I have since removed the wheels from the amp & put them on the enhancer.

I put a thick coat of paint on the inside yesterday (and today too, with garish colors of metallic gold & silver on the outside just because i'm funny that way but my wife still loves me...;>) to help reflect (& hopefully tighten up) the sound.

I have one small hole in the back top right side for the amps power cable to go through and there's 3 bigger holes on the top for air circulation.

I also added a few other variations of the design including a rounded back version.

Another version is 2 separate sections (top and bottom as it were) that can be put together into a box for ease of transportation.

My final product was hastily built with leftover plywood i had. The inside grey strip of wood near the top was put in to bind together 2 separate pieces for the back as i didn't have a whole piece big enough to cover the back completely.

Theoretically, the enhancer can be flipped upside down & go on the top of the amp too as in the last pic...
