Just to clarify, are you saying this is fully compatable, or that it will work without some of the functions? I've read elsewhere with people having the same problem

1) Tested another unit. Didn't work either. Apparently they're not fully compatible.

2) One would have thought I'd have already checked for a local service centre, via the same method you linked, and turned to here after realising there was no local service centre in australia...

In the end, http://www.indcontrol.com.au/ were fantastic. They couldn't find the exact part, but checked the datasheet and compared it to other parts to find the one I needed. They ordered it and fitted it, costing me a total of $50.

Sup,

I just bought a FBV Express MKII to use with my Spider III 75 combo amp. The unit works fine except the wah/volume function does nothing.

I've done the following:

a) Googled to make sure that the controller is compatible with my amp (it is).

b) Attempted to recalibrate by performing the following:

i) powered on the unit holding D. Display says 1.

ii) pressed the rocker forward engaging the footswitch, sending the display to 2.

iii) rocked back to heel position, pressed D. Display says 3.

iv) rocked forward (but not engaging the footswitch), pressed D. Display says 4. (and all the lights are lit).

Rocking back and forth doesn't change the lights under the display. Pressing D and playing around with it shows that it didn't work.

c) Attempted a firmware update using the monkey software. Unit came with 1.10. Reinstalled latest software anyway. Did so successfully, attempted to recalibrate, no change.

So thats pretty much where I am now. I've got a few more days before I can take it back for a full refund, but obviously I don't want to do that as I bought it in the first place.

Is there anything I'm overlooking? Is there anything else that can be done? Its a brand new unit, so it *could* be faulty out of the box, but it doesn't seem to be the case.

Also:

I bought this unit because I accidentally plugged a crossover into my FBV Shortboard (the original). I've dismantled it and have located the blown IC, a RS485/422 transceiver. Its located on the pcb that sits on the riser above (when the bottom removed and looking from the bottom) the footswitch. I can find replacement parts online, but its going to be a pita to get it installed. Is it possible to just buy a replacement PCB instead? I'm sure you guys would receive heaps of these for service with this exact problem, so it stands to reason you'd have these boards on hand for swap outs.

Is this possible?
