As a matter of fact, that is being done right now and it has not cut outas of yet (YET)!!!!!we will see...

i'd bet you could put an old 486 heatsink on it and make it usable, at least for home use.

This is a problem that has been an issue for quite some time and I have seen a lot of blogs about it but this was a discovery made by my bass player in my band.

I have almost given up on this amp although I love it, I can never depend on it. Now, if this does the trick, I might start using it again on stage.
