Sadly the answer is no, you can only connect with the USB..... Good luck getting it taken care of....

I don't think so - I believe the HD500 update requires USB.

But if you have the required midi interface it shouldn't take long to try it out and let us know for sure.

Hi,

The USB connections in the back of my pod aren't working. The pins are visable and there is no block as there should be with a typical USB connection. I have since found out this is a common problem and will get this fixed.

Question: Can you just connect your POD to a computer and update through MIDI cables like you could with other line 6 products.
