Mics which do not seem to work well with TBP12 bodypack transmitter:
It seems that Shure-type mics with an FET transistor in the mic connection do not work "out of the box" with the TBP12.

AVJEFES Mini Headset Microphone VL630-TA4F for Shure | A very attractive price -- but the "for Shure" is meant literally! Even though the connections appear to be proper, this mic generates lots of "static" and noise when connected to the TBP12. | Dan Cornett |
| Rode HS-1 headsets with MICON3 adapters | Can possibly be made to work with significant re-wiring of connections; see discussion http://line6.com/community/thread/60468?tstart=0 | Srdjan (bad_ri) |
Shure WL51b | The description of the symptoms seem similar to those of the JEFE headset mics. | Martiaudio |
| Shure WH20TQG | Works marginally: the output is very low, requiring significant mixer boosting. | dboomer |

| Countryman E6 | Works great! If you currently have an E6 with a different connector, you only need to get a replacement cable with the TA4F connector. | Dan Cornett |
| Crown CM-311A or CM-311AE-SH | The "A" model has it's own bodypack; use with an XLR-to-TA4F cable. The AE-SH has a direct TA4F connection. See more in this discussion: http://line6.com/support/thread/58797?tstart=0 | Dan Cornett |
| Shure WL93 | Great-sounding omni-directional lavalier. | |
| JTS CM-201 | Works well with transmitter, although the quality of the connection wire may not be robust (see document comments below). | AndyW69 |
| DPA 4099S | With adapter, works well. Reference discussion: http://line6.com/support/thread/52936?tstart=0 | The Animal |
