JTV Workbench (v1.9) model positions inconsistent

Recommended Posts

I am currently on v 1.9 (I decided to rollback from 2.1 to 1.9). Anyways, I was looking at the models change in workbench as I change them on the guitar using the knob and pickup selector switch and I see that there are some inconsistencies between various positions within the same models. Don't know if this is by design or just incorrect.

e.g. Looking at the 'Special' bank I see that Position 1 has the body type of Special Junior with Junior 90 pickups but position 3 and 5 (which are supposed to be the N+B and N positions of the same guitar) have the Special Special body with Special 90 pickups.

I saw similar inconsistencies within the 'Tele' bank as well. And I am talking about switching positions 1,3 and 5. Not talking about 2 and 4 because I understand that they are models of a different guitar.

So does anyone know if this is by design or simply just incorrect and the only thing that should change when I move from 1 to 3 to 5 is the bridge and neck on/off on the pickups?

Thanks for your answers in advance!

Those are actually correct. Positions 3 and 5 in the Special bank are a different guitar than Position 1 (actually a Les Paul Junior only has one pickup - the bridge, so there wouldn't be anything else to model for the other positions). It's the same thing with the Tele. There's three different guitars in that bank.

Oh, okay thanks! Didn't know that. From the manual, I assumed it's the same models. I still see that the Tele Thinline and the Tele Custom are switched on position 4 and 5. 4 should be Thinline and 5 should be custom as per the chart you posted but it's the other way round. I can change that in workbench.
