How to set up Guitar -> HD500X -> ComboFront Amp without affect the tone (like if it was true bypass)?

Hi there!

So, Today I tried to set up the HD500X to work with a combo amp. There is a problem I find: Even when the POD HD500X is set to a New Sound (No amp and no effects emulation) it does not send my original clean sound to the amp.

If I connect my guitar straight to the amp, it sounds great.

If I put the POD in the middle with no effects and no amp, it kills the tone, sound like a blanket over the amp speaker.

Here a sample sound I just recorded to take a listen: https://soundcloud.com/bluesoverdrive/guitar-podhd500x-combofront?in=bluesoverdrive/sets/hd500-test

Why is it happening? What if I just want to use the effects like a Line6 M13 would between the guitar and amp signal?

Any ideas?

I think I solved it, changed the output to Direct/Studio instead of Combo Front and the sounds is coming out properly now!

Probably to use the Combo Front setting it may be necessery to ajust Highs and Lows to get it right.

I wont delete this post since it may be useful for someone else.
