TheLonz
I have the following: HD500 Pod, JTV-59, DT25. I would like to be able to do the following. Connect the variax to hd500 using variax cable, connect dt25 to hd500 with L6 connection, and then also connect an acoustic guitar to the hd500 with 1/4" cable (so that I can use the effects on the hd500). Can two guitars (JTV-59 and Acoustic guitar) be connected to hd500 at the same time and controlled by the pod?
pfsmith0
Yes. You have two signal paths available to you, A & B. Connect them to Input 1 and Input 2, respectively. Set Input 1 to Variax and Input 2 to Guitar and you're all set with two independent signal paths. I think the built-in tuner only works on Input 1, though, so you may want to swap the Variax & Guitar to Inputs 2 & 1, respectively.
medbad5150
Yes mate, I use normal electric with normal guitar lead, and have Variax with special lead plugged into Variax at back of POD, both running same time. ha ha just don't forget to turn down volume on Variax when not using as I have found out to my cost
nikoniablue
pfsmith0 is right - tuner only works on input 1. If you switch the tuner in whilst the HD500 is set to Input 2 you get the tuner screen but no bar to show the instrument tuning. I do so wish they'd fix that!
