POD HD500 versus HD ProX - balanced XLR output question...

I'm guessing Silverlight might answer here, but it's an open question.  When I have connected my monitoring system (be it my Power Engine 60s or my Rokit 5 studion monitors) via my POD HD500 blanaced outout, I have noted a SIGNIFICANT drop in volume and I see no way to switch between the -10db it seems to be and the +4 I'd like it to be.

So, if I replace this with a POD HD ProX as I am strongly considering, will this be the same case or is the newer and rack mountable POD HD ProX offer the switchability I seek?

The XLR outs on the HD500 are mic level only. On the HD Pro X they can be switched from mic to line, so, yeah, it will do what you're wanting. If you want line level on the HD500, you need to use the 1/4" outs.

Thanks Phil -- it's as I suspected.

By the way, anyone running their keyboard rig through the POD by chance?
