Global Tap Tempo, Anyone?

I love my M13.  The Line 6 guys have done a bang up job with the product and the firmware updates.  However, when I'm in scene latch mode I would love a setting that would make it possible to keep the tempo the same as I switch between scenes.  Any idea if this might be in the works for the next firmware update?

Am I the only one that thinks that this would be beneficial.

Thanks,

JV

I know that guys like the seperate tap tempo, but I agree with you that it would be nice to be able to switch between global and seperate.

    + 1

It's a feature I already asked for, time ago. I hope it will be included because for some setups it is indispensable.

This would be a wonderful option. I am doing much improvised music, so I often do not know which scene I will use next. This would help very much.

I am using in scene mode and when I'm switching scenes, I also switch channels on my amp.

Whenever I change sounds i lose the tap tempo as I change scene.

There should be a setting to use "global" or "scene" tempo. Can be a global setting of the unit or on scene level. I'd prefer global.

Please Line6, this is an important feature, we love the M13 but this should be configurable!!

I don't think that there's really any need to do away with scene specific tempos, but an override option would be a serious upgrade for those of us who like to take detours in the music and need to remain at a constant tempo...

Feature Request sent... Please, everyone should send requests for this!!!

    Count me in.

The M13 is THE multiFx I was looking for, but there's still room for some improvements, and global tempo is one of them.

I realized this when I started using more than one scene, since at first I was using just one basic scene, good-old-stombox-style.

I haven't tried syncing with external clock (MacBook Pro running Live or something else), but I don't think it's a good solution for live work. I prefer all-hardware for that kind of situation.

I've already filled the request so, let's hope Line6 is listening (and working it).

+1 here too.  Trailing delay tails/EFX between SCENE switching would be helpful too.  This would allow smoother use of multiple scenes within one song.  Kinda clunky now.

Yeah, that would be cool too... never thought about it. Trails between scenes would be a great addition.

But, is it even possible to fix that with a firmware update?

Maybe that's a feature requiring more DSP power (like the GSP1101 that uses 2 AudioDNA to achieve this). As I understand, when you switch scenes you are wiping all models and loading everything from start, so maybe the trails thing would require a different approach to it.

I hope not and we actually get all these great ideas come to life on the next (hopefully soon) update.

Yeah, everyone works differently, but I (my band) try to be as seem-less as possible between songs.  Most of the time our transitions are not noticeable.  Stopping and resetting scenes/FX will not always work without creating that hiccup.  I'm working on having crucial transition songs/sounds all within one scene/bank and only changing when there's a long enough break between songs.  A more seem-less transition/flow between scenes would really open up the unit to be used to full potential.  Then again, maybe I should just become a bass player...

I've been out of the loop for a while - Did this go anywhere? Are there updates that adresses this?
