Suggestions for reliable MIDI interface for Snow Leopard M9 update?

Hi Folks
Just bought an M9, and am very pleased with it. It has v1.01 software, which will keep me going for a while, but I'd like to update it to 2.01 before too long.
In view of the number of threads on here about firmware updating hassles, I'd really appreciate some advice/recommendations about choice of USB/MIDI interface.
I use a MacBook, running Snow Leopard, and have studied the instructions on the site re Line 6 Monkey etc, but would love to know if anyone has a suggestion for a tried and tested interface that should work for that OS.
Many thanks
Cheers

you'll have to check m-audio to see if it works with show leopard, but line6 usually suggest using m-audio uno or uno sport USB to MIDI adapters. line6 can't guarantee that will work, but i've heard few issues with those, and I have one myself which works with windows 7 to update my M13.
Rowbi - many thanks for that, seems like a good place to start. Worst case, I guess, I'll borrow a PC (XP or W7) and use that - I'll only need it once in a while.
Cheers
